The Pearl of Whakatiwai

The Pearl of Whakatiwai. A restored Bed/kitchen/dining room with separate shower and toilet. This house was built in the 50's and so we have lovingly recreated the whole 50's vibe for your enjoyment. Right on the edge of the Firth of Thames you can lie in bed with view of Tikapa Moana and the Coromandel. A great little kitchen with oven and fridge, plus all the tools you need. No TV, but great WiFi available. The price has recently increased but I didn’t increase my amount.

Take it easy at this tranquil getaway set in the countryside but only minutes walk to the beach and cafe. Kawakawa Bay has a great boat ramp for people keen on fishing. We have two kayaks that you are welcome to use. Plus for the more adventurous, the FourForty mountain bike track is only minutes drive. There are also many great walks close by. Or....relax on the deck overlooking the beautiful countryside. The cabin has one bed (queen size) plus a foldout single stretcher bed.

The Bus Depot.

The Bus Depot is a rustic retreat overlooking the beautiful firth of Thames. A beautifully restored 1979 Bedford bus which has all the modern comforts but still retains original features of the bus, this area has sleeping for two along with kitchen area, fridge, gas stove and a dining area on the covered deck. From the daybed to the loft space or going for a walk on the farm or just sitting in front of the fire you can enjoy the views at this outstanding location.

Modern insulated 2 bed barn across the lawn from the main house in beautiful Ness Valley. 7 acres of pasture, trees, and native riparian planting. Wander out to feed the sheep and explore the stream. Watch kotare, tui, piakawaka, hawks, and kereru Close to both Boomrock and the Hunua Traverse. Handy for Polo, A and P Grounds, and local venues. Visit local markets, launch your boat from Kawakawa Bay or rest and recover from your bike ride in our outdoor bath.
