“Jan is a lovely and very welcoming host. The place itself is great, separated from the main house, has a private deck where you can enjoy amazing view of the bay. WiFi is decent and kitchen pretty well equipped, there is a heater in case nights are cold. All in all a great place for a longer stay.”
We'd love to welcome you to our place, set on 25 acres of rural New Zealand countryside and surrounded by green rolling hills there is plenty of peace and quiet. We are close to the twin coast cycle trail, beaches, vintage steam railway, walking tracks, local pool and numerous attractions of the Bay of Islands. You’ll love our place because its set in a stunning location, has a great farm feel and offers plenty of tranquility. Our room is good for couples and solo adventurers.
“Ron and Janice’s place is about 20 minutes from the touristy bits at Paihia, Russell ferry and Waitangi treaty grounds. It is remote and reached on an unmetalled road. Ron and Janice’s characters are stamped all over their smallholding. The room and bathroom were very quaint and the view is breathtaking. Ron and Janice couldn’t do enough for us during our short stay from hanging out our washing, ironing my husband’s shirt and hankie to baking us cakes and cooking us a shepherd’s pie. Janice was out when we left and we really wanted to say a big ‘thank you’ to her for making our stay so special. Thanks Ron and Janice x”
Tea Tree Cottage is half way between Paihia and Opua with access to both via the coastal track . It is the perfect base for a walking holiday with many walks in close proximity. You’ll love the cottage as it is quiet and has native bush between it and the water. The place is perfectly set up for couple, twin share or those with a new family (portacot available on request). Accessibility: Please note the cottage is situated down a flight of garden stairs.
“The photos don’t do this place justice. It’s beautifully located, presented and maintained. Robyn is keen to help and sets out to make sure your stay is comfortable. Probably the most amazing bed we’ve ever had in an Air BnB. There are plenty of small touches that make this place feel homely. It’s central to different walks around the bays and an easy drive to larger towns. Or you could pass your holiday just chilling out on the lovely Bush surrounded verandah. Thanks for a wonderful few nights”
