The host was also friendly and very responsive. Perfect for a short getaway or even a longer stay. Will definitely come again!

This place was nice and comfortable. Clear instructions were given on how to check in and it was an easy process. Very clean and cozy similar to a family home. Every bathrooms were clean and had heater. Location was strategic as well; peaceful. We had event at a place that is just 20 minutes away. Owner also very responsive and fast; friendly as well. Overall it was a great experience. Would consider booking this place again whenever needed.

We had a great experience staying at Winnie’s place. The location is fantastic right in the heart of the city with easy access to restaurants and tourist spots. It’s a perfect place for families looking for a peaceful yet central stay. The room, although compact, was clean, cozy, and felt like a small Japanese-style home — very charming and well-maintained. Winnie was a kind and helpful host; she even provided drinking water and made sure we were comfortable throughout. The only minor challenges were the stairs — since the place is on the 3rd floor and there’s no elevator, carrying heavy luggage can be a bit tiring — and there was a temporary water issue one day, but Winnie resolved it quickly and efficiently. Overall, a pleasant stay with warm hospitality. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a comfortable and conveniently located place to stay!

We had a great time staying at this place. The owner was very responsive, easy to communicate, and the surrounding was amazing as we get to watch the sunrise in the morning. However, it is much better if the owner could provide extra comforter/mattress/toto and extra pillows for those who come with big family. Besides that, we hope the owner could install air-conditioner in the 3rd room since Perlis is well known for the hot weather.

Excellent in every way. Where do I start… the location cannot be beat. Armenian street is THE George Town street to see, and it’s walking distance to many amazing restaurants, hawkers centers, boutique shops, street artworks, and other attractions like the esplanade and large shopping malls. The home itself has a very peaceful feel, oozing with oldtown charm, tastefully furnished, and very spacious. The beds are comfortable, the aircon is excellent, the hot/cold filtered water machine is super convenient, and the washer/dryer works well. Things to note: The bathroom ceiling is quite low- if you’re over 5’10” you’ll be stooped over, but they provide a shower seat. There is an atrium in the middle of the home that is open to the floor below and the shop on the ground floor. This is no issue, but something to be aware of if you have toddlers like us that are, at times, difficult to keep calm and quiet.

We booked this Airbnb to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and it was the perfect choice. The place has a lovely design and cozy ambiance, and the private pool made the celebration even more fun. Kulim, like much of the Northern Region of Malaysia, can get quite hot, so I really appreciated that Mr. Akmal had turned on the air conditioning before our arrival. The place was cool and comfortable the moment we stepped in a very thoughtful gesture. Mr. Akmal was a great host friendly, responsive, and honest. He informed us about a small issue beforehand, which I truly appreciated. His transparency and attentiveness made the whole experience even better. All in all, a great stay. Highly recommended!

I'd give more than five stars if AirBnB would let me. We felt really at home, and would unequivocally recommend the place. Siew Lin is an amazing host, flexible, helpful. The place is great. It's bigger than it looks in the pictures; there are two fully-fitted bathrooms, each with a shower; a great kitchen that is fully equipped; washing machine and a drying rack on the beautiful balcony; everything to feel like home... The location is also perfect. In the building complex there's a fully-stocked supermarket (downstairs and across a covered walkway, 3 minutes door-to-door), great restaurants, a beautiful pool that is always empty, a gym, great surroundings... We also like the geography in the city, nestled (somehow extremely quietly) between Georgetown and Tanjung Bungah!

Overall experience was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Fabulous apartment with everything you need. Amazing pool at your doorstep. Laundry facilities were great. Easy to get a grab and get anywhere you want in Penang. Excellent instructions from host and very responsive. Highly recommend and will book again!

Very responsive host. Check in instructions are clear. Beautiful surroundings, a lot of restaurant. Comfortable bed, water pressure is good. Furniture wear and tear. Good place to stay.

downside: 1) bathroom shower drainage gets clogged as you shower 2) room curtains doesn't entirely block out the sun for the afternoons , due to gaps upside: 1) owner provided free toothbrush and toothpaste 2) there was firstaid materials provided 3) cleanliness was good 4) location and parking was good 5) communications and check in was smooth

We really enjoyed our stay at Siang’s Place at Straits Quay. This was the first AiraBNB in a long time where a person showed up to check us in and out. Kev was our contact person during our stay and he was kind, helpful and always available. The unit was clean and comfortable matching the description on the listing. All of the other nice things that people have said in their reviews are true. Even though the unit does not face the water, the balcony is large and nicely shaded in the morning for enjoying our coffee. Some of the things we really liked include the pool and gym (new equipment in the gym and strong AC), the wonderful grocery store just a few steps away, the walking paths along the water (perfect for morning or evening walks), easy pick up and drop off for Grab, and the weekly cleaning service included in the fee. Great stay, we will come again. Thanks Kev and Siang.

Love the place!!! Easy to access!

We had a fantastic stay - after a long day of travelling it was a delight to enter into this beautiful home. The views are incredible (we caught an early sunrise) and the thoughtful touches such as the local snacks were really appreciated. Very easy to get a Grab into different areas of Georgetown.

This is another accommodation that I really like. It’s comfortable, well-equipped, and very spacious. If I have the chance, I will definitely come back again.

By far, this has been one of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed in. From the living room to the kitchen to the bathrooms, everything was so thoughtfully provided. My only request to the hosts in terms of the kitchen is to provide one more smaller vessel instead of the extremely large vessel. The pool was amazing. The hosts were extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive. The views are amazing. Langkawi Parade Mall is less than a kilometer away, as are 7-Eleven and several duty-free shops. Grab cars are readily available.

Weykey is great host, she gave clear instruction upon our check in/out time, always responsive and also helpful. Her unit is superb, Spotlessly clean, has a great view towards the ocean and the city, lots of big windows, bright, bed was soo comfy and a have a nice kitchen set up. We truly have no complain about her unit and loving every second we spent there. Will definitely book this unit again if we happen have a chance to go back to Penang!
