This area was a lovely surprise. Although you are not lake front, the D.A.R.E. Power Park with its beach and boat launch areas was less than 2 miles away. The cabin has all of the basics we needed to cook in and spend time together—which was our main objective. Opelika is not far away and (if you get storms, as we did) it has cute shops, breweries, and good food. It was easy to check in and out. Quiet area with nice people.

The fishhook was in a great location, fishing was good. The beds are a little firm for me but a great place to stay. I would go back there to stay anytime. Thanks for having us Faye.

Wow. I don’t have enough good things to say about this place. It is absolutely pristine, and STUNNING. It had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfy, shower water pressure great, and the fireplace was so cozy. The inside of the house is beautifully done, and the outside surroundings are peaceful and beautiful. The fresh eggs were a lovely touch and when we needed some coffee creamer, Bethany brought some to us herself. She was a wonderful host and very communicative and helpful. Truly a 100/10 experience. We enjoyed every minute of staying here and would love to stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sanctuary. We had a little hiccup at check in but Kimm resolved it kindly and efficiently. There was a severe storm early Sunday morning that made the power go out. Kimm communicated quickly with information about when to expect it back on and even offered us a little more time to get going if we needed it. The kitchen is well appointed and stocked with everything you might need but the actual food. There is even a washer and dryer. The beds were soft. The showers had good water pressure and were clean. The area is beautiful and peaceful and the location was very convenient to our plans. Overall it was a very nice stay and we will likely go back if we can.
