Our cabin is the perfect getaway to enjoy nature, coffee on the front porch or a cocktail on the upstairs deck, a ride in the woods or a swim in the freshwater creeks. It is a great place to enjoy a romantic weekend, or a vacation with the kids and your pets for outdoor adventures which include hiking or biking the many trails and ravines, or capturing images of birds and other wildlife with your camera. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen for gourmet cooking and dining on the front porch.

This memorable place is anything but ordinary. Just 35 miles North of New Orleans nestled just minutes away from downtown Covington and all the Northshore has to offer. Live music, fine dining, cycling and shopping are just a few of the many things to do. Your stay includes two paddle boards so if water exploring and sun bathing on the scenic Bogue Falaya sounds up your alley then look no further. Your just a few miles drive from the new public kayak launch that leads to multiple sand bars.

Thunder Ridge at the Forest Retreat is an adults-only pet-friendly getaway. Children may come only during specific holidays. Your house will be unlocked. Check-in is a 3 p.m. Here you are surrounded by the Homochitto National Forest. Take a picnic to the sand-bars along the pristine spring-fed creek. Hike or mountain bike on the remote forest roads. The well lit space is perfect for almost any occasion. A quick getaway, a peaceful space to practice your art form, or a lovely place to unwind and recharge. This thoughtful space has two lofted bedrooms (not totally private from the rest of the tiny house). A cook friendly kitchen!
