Peace of Nature Rustic Retreat is located in a beautiful wooded property between a lake and a pond and wetland. The retreat features private entrance & covered patio with woods & lake views. A bird watchers dream with a variety of woodpeckers, nuthatch, hummingbirds, Bluejays & cardinals. Enjoy observing the many other critters here too — deer, ermine, otter, trumpeter swan, blue Herron, fox squirrels and more. Located within 10 minutes to fishing, hiking, bike trails, cc skiing and much more.

Treehouse (LOTR) Stargazer Skycabin

Our LOTR themed treehouse, along with our LOTR Wizard's Cottage, have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." We have been featured on PBS and WJON radio. Joan and I live on the acreage, about 200 ft. from the Wizard's Cottage and very far from the treehouse, which is located on the back part of the acreage. It has a fenced-in portion that makes up the Shire Garden. Down the hill is our nod to Mordor. Feel free to visit and dare to open the "Mor Do(o)r." Diversity is welcome.

This cabin is ideal for a getaway year round. Set in a peaceful, wooded, quiet bay on Horseshoe Lake on the Chain of Lakes. This cozy, inviting cabin has a gorgeous shoreline with a sandy beach, stunning sunset views, a dock that is perfect for fishing (or jumping in!), a raft to swim to, hammocks to lounge in, and a large bonfire area to end your day. Endless outdoor activities year round! This cabin has everything you need for a memorable, relaxing vacation! No detail has been overlooked.

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Our space is a 30 x 12 cedar 4 season porch enhanced in boho decor with Earth's natural elements and warmth of a treehouse. Relaxing authentic Turkish globes surround you. Private sitting areas in the trees, perfect for grilling, entertaining or hanging low and watching the stars. Private courtyard for a more tranquil, intimate setting with a gas glass lit firepit. Come alone, bring your spouse, friend or child. It's a perfect spiritual retreat located 45 min west of MSP Airport.

Arch Acres

Located on a gravel road in rural Minnesota, this peaceful and cozy guesthouse has two bedrooms, an ADA accessible main floor and bathroom, full kitchen, full laundry, and country views. We are located approximately 15 minutes from Litchfield, Kimball, Dassel/Darwin, and more. We have plenty of parking if you have a trailer, camper, or boat. This beautiful little cabin sits on the water edge on Indian Lake. Great Lake to fish on. There is a swimming raft that you can swim to along with a paddle boat. Great access to snowmobile trails. This is a small place on a septic system with a NEW ! 40 gallon water heater with only 2 vehicle parking.
