Small condo at base of Tahoe Donner ski hill. Its really ideal for 2 people. However, there is a couch that folds down can becomes a bed (suitable for someone under 5.8). Deck overlooks the ski hill and has a killer view. There is a full size fridge, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven and induction hot plate. Full bathroom. The unit has a table / work station. There are two chars and there are two black side tables that can act as extra seats so 4 people can sit at the table.

A great cabin for a couple (or two couples) or small family, with easy access to great hiking and mountain biking trails in the summer. In the winter, there is a sledding hill and miles of snowshoe trails out the back door. Four ski resorts are within ten minutes' drive. The deck is the perfect place to watch the bountiful stars in the clear mountain air any time of year. Please read the notes about winter conditions, especially the driveway, very carefully.

We had such a wonderful stay at Rob and Liz’s place! It was a perfect fit for our two young families to stay for a snow weekend at Soda Springs. The space was cozy and welcoming, and so many nice touches were provided - literally anything we needed happened to be available in the kitchen and the bedrooms/bathrooms (highlights included soy sauce, crockpot, laundry detergent, pack and play, and plenty of spare blankets/linens). There were also lots of toys, games, and books to occupy our young children. Check-in was easy, and the hosts were very responsive and thoughtful throughout!

Cozy cabin—mountain getaway!

We live two hours away and always come up for the day before heading home. This cabin was minutes away from Royal Gorge where we like to go XC skiing and snowshoeing. Truckee and Donner Lake was 15 miles away for restaurants and hiking. This quaint cabin was perfect for a long weekend getaway. There was still snow on the ground and a creek flowing nearby. It was very peaceful and it had all the amenities as described. I needed toothpaste and was pleased to find some in the medicine cabinet. There was plenty of hot water for showers and there were heaters in each room. It was very warm especially with a roaring fire in the wood stove. We really enjoyed our visit and look forward to staying again in the future!

Erica was such a wonderful host! We felt as if a friend was taking care of us. She was super responsive and checked in on us during our stay, accommodated us with supplies for activities, breakfast & we purchased an add on pizza basket which was so awesome and tasty!!! Can’t say enough good things. This place is like a slice of heaven and all the detailed touches that Erica made was everything, from the record player, to music choices, games and books. We felt like we were in our own little romance film! :) lol. Erica is great. The place is beautiful. Definitely coming back!

Great stay. This was a three generation ski trip, oldest 71, and youngest 3! We all had a great time. Bill was very flexible on dates. Due to snow storms ski area kept changing dates they would be open. Bill was very flexible of these needs. The kitchen is amazing, well stocked with any tool or type of dish you needed. We appreciated the plastic cups for 3 year old. We hope to rent there again next year and keep the kids on the slopes!

Great house close to Sugarbowl. Brent was very flexible and helpful. Kitchen was nice, the beds were comfy and the front stairs were heated (so no shoveling!). We hope to be back for another ski trip!
