The Pod on the Hill

Situated approx.2.5 miles outside the village of Port Ellen, the POD offers peace, quiet and relaxation after exploring the distilleries and the joys of the Island. Port Ellen and Laphroaig can be seen from the POD which overlooks Kilnaughton Bay. The path to the three distilleries on this side of the Island starts in the village, taking you first to Laphroaig then Lagavulin , finishing at Ardbeg where delicious food is available. Leac Na Sith, a cottage on the beach

Our cottage is perfect for families, couples or friends who want a peaceful base to explore glorious Argyll. This is a truly magical place, with incredible sea views, and a large garden that leads straight on to the shore. It's also a great base for exploring the Isle of Bute, the "Secret Argyll Coast", and the Arrochar Alps. After a big day out, you can come back and relax in front of the log burner. Leac Na Sith means "Hearthstone of Tranquility"... it could not be a more appropriate name.

The lodge is also ideal for a golfing getaway, with 5 courses nearby and Machrihanish being known for having the best opening hole in the world.

Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage is a unique 18th Century lime washed stone cottage located a short distance from Whiting Bay. As a Category B listed building of architectural and historic interest, Rose Cottage is believed to be a long house typical of the Western Isles. A delightful home in a peaceful rural location, oozing charm and maintaining much of the original character. Accommodation comprises a large open plan lounge area with galleried mezzanine, kitchen, bathroom and one double room.

The Wee House

The Wee House is a one bedroom seafront cottage looking onto Port Ellen. Sleeping up to 4 guests with a sofa bed (full size double) in the living room. Listing price is for 2 guests sharing the bedroom. If the sofa bed is required for bookings of 2 guests please let us know as there is an extra charge (£10 per night). The cottage is within walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants and near to the distillery path taking you to Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.
