西村邸は、奈良町の一画に100年以上たたずむ、昔ながらの奈良町屋です。 ここは、ぼくが子どもの頃、長い時間を過ごした「おばあちゃんち」でした。 奈良町には、ずっと変わらない心地よい鄙(ひな)びがあります。 「これからの世代に、少しでもこの心地よい鄙(ひな)びにふれて欲しい。」 そんな想いで、空き家になっていた西村邸を、手入れしました。 - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. Easy access via bus and train, supermarket, restaurants, convenience store, bakery, and a Japanese bath house just minutes away. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!

こちらのユニークな宿泊先には、独自のスタイルがあります。 2023年10月に新築オープン、ホストは1階管理室に在住してますが、ほぼ一棟貸し感覚でご利用できます。 2階フロアは全て貸切り。グラフテクトのアイランドキッチンを中心にした広々としたLDKは勿論、ヴィラの最も特徴的な空間であるスカイテラスには、屋外ソファを設置しサウナ（利用可能時間18:00〜22:00）やジャグジーの他最大100インチのプロジェクターで映画のタイトルなどが楽しめます。また、カナダ製ブロイルキング社（現在は都合によりウェーバー社）の本格的BBQグリルを設置しておりいつでもバーベキューを楽しむことが出来き、グランピング感覚でも楽しむことができます。（BBQグリルにはいわゆる焼肉用のお肉ではなく、厚切りのステーキ用をご用意していただく方が適しています。） また、2025年4月13日からは『大阪・関西万博』が開催されますが、最寄駅（徒歩約15分の木津駅）から最短90分で会場まで行くことができます。

Our guesthouse is located in the old town called Nara-machi. There used to be many traditional wooden townhouses known as Machiya. We restored Machiya while keeping the original structure in order to provide you with a traditional Japanese experience with local atmosphere.This house is for only private use and has only one floor with Japanese style room, shower room, washroom, sink and small garden.
