This is a Kyo-machi house with nearly 100 years of history, while preserving the traditional structure and charm, it has been transformed by Japanese designers, incorporating the comfort and utility needed for modern life. There is a floor heating system throughout which makes it nice to stay even in the winter. There are two separate toilets, a bathroom that is thoughtful to meet the needs of multiple people staying.The bathroom has a bathtub with a view of the garden, so you can take a hot bath and relax your body and mind. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking yourself during a long stay and enjoy the charm of Kyoto's local ingredients. Located in a quiet alley in the heart of Kyoto, whether it is a trip to the historic Nijo Castle, or to the Nishiki Market and the Karasuma area shopping, all within a 15-minute walk, with both transportation and living function. This inn is a guest house in a 90-year-old Kyomachi house in Kyoto Nishijin. We use this old house, which was once run by a silk merchant, as an accommodation facility in its original form. From the entrance to the street garden, fire bag, back garden, and tsubo garden along the way, they all function as light and wind passageways. The smell of the earth, the smell of the rain, and the smell of Nishi-Jin, pass through with the wind. Close your eyes and enjoy a relaxing time. Enjoy the simple townhouse life.

Our hotel’s place is near SENBON-MARUTAMACHI bus stop only 2 minutes walk from there. This is very useful bus stop, you can go directly to ARASHIYAMA , KINKAKUJI-TEMPLE,KIYOMIZU-TEMPLE, JR KYOTO STATION and so on. Our family founded Japanese rice shop in 1894 but I remodeled into hotel this spring. We are living long time here, and I want to keep my family’s business and hospitality mind for hotel work. Because the guest room is only 2, each room separate, so you can spend calmly and relax.

The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

"Kyoto's Oyasuji" is a private townhouse 5 minutes on foot from Keihan Shimizu Gojo Station.

Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee. Note: The stairs to the second floor are quite steep. The toilet and shower room are shared and face the garden (available 24 hours a day).
