In a cottage on the shore of a steamy woman, you get to spend a vacation with a unique lake landscape. The wood-burning sauna has soft steam and a view of the lake. Underfloor heating and fireplace heat in winter. Preparing food with an Airfryer, in the microwave, or on the patio using a gas grill. Drinking water can be obtained directly from the kitchen faucet. Guests have access to the entire cabin, which includes sleeping accommodations for two, a sauna, a toilet, and a small kitchen. An air source heat pump ensures the right indoor temperature. 13 km to the center. 8 km to grocery stores.

Rantamökki

Beautiful sauna cabin (floor area approx. 39 square meters) on the shore of the clear water of Valkealampi! It sleeps four people. The cottage has a sandy beach, in winter an ice hole. You can ice fish or fish in the summer. You can jump into the water from the lovely steam of the wood sauna. Relax in the tranquility of nature. Nearby you will find, among other things, Kontiolahti's ski slopes and trails, biathlon stadium, Paihola's frisbee golf course, summer café (about 6 km), Pielisjoki and Joensuu (21 km) and Koli National Park (about 54 km) services and activities!

Villa Myyry villa on the shore of Pielisjoki

Villa Myyry is a cozy and well-equipped villa on the shores of Lake Pielisjoki in the village of Paihola, Kontiolahti. The villa has 77 m downstairs and a large loft. The location is in a quiet rural environment.  The driveway is right up to the door and there is plenty of parking space in the yard. Allergy-friendly, pets are prohibited. You can access the cycling trail directly from the yard or go snowshoeing on the ice of Pielisjoki. The ski resort Kontiolahti Biathlon is about 10 km away. The landlord lives next door.

Alapihan Arboretum guest house with sauna

Cozy guest house and sauna in a wild tree species park. There are about 250 different species of woody trees and shrubs in the two-hectare area. The trees were planted in 1970 and form their own microclimate, where the air is clean and good to breathe. The area is still partly in its natural state and renovation is being done in the area. For those interested, we will be happy to introduce the arboretums during the visit. The household includes two Lapphunds, a cat, a rooster and 6 hens. Breakfast available

A small house on the banks of the Pielisjoki river. 12km to the center of Joensuu and 7km to Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium. In the yard, a wood-burning barrel sauna with a landscape window and a lot. Opportunity to take a dip in the water from your own dock! Hot tub for use during your stay 40e. In the yard, there is a tennis/small game field. This place is perfect for both relaxation and active vacations – there are ski and outdoor trails nearby. Ask about the possibility of an extra bed if needed!

Log cabin by a clear water lake

Small log cabin with spectacular lake views. There is an extendable bed (2x80cm) in the cabin, as well as a kitchenette (running cold water). Sheets and towels provided. Electricity. Rent includes private use of a spacious wood burning sauna by the lake, about 2h per day (sauna also used by the owners). You can book your slot at arrival. Access to hot water in sauna (heated by wood). Dry toilet next to the sauna. Use of a rowing boat. Cabin is located 50 meters from the house of the owners.

There are excellent fishing opportunities in the lake. Plus, the property is perfect for working remotely! Lahti beach is shallow and great for children. Use a rowing boat and a paddleboard. Available for rent for fishing with a motor boat. Bring your own linens and towels.

Lakeside house close to Joensuu, North Karelia

A two-bedroom house (75 m2) 60 metres from the lake and a sauna cottage 20 metres from the shore of lake Viinijärvi, in Polvijärvi, in very beautiful surroundings, 25 minutes by car from the centre of Joensuu. The house is well equipped and beautifully furnished. The kitchen has a dishwasher and TV. The bathroom also contains an infrared sauna, but there is also a wood heated sauna by the lake. The price contains bed linen, towels ,coffee, tea, oil etc.

Little cottage in the tranquility of nature

Nature's peace is present. Neighbors are not visible and very rarely heard. The area marked in green in the last picture (3ha of forest land) is available for dog activities or even for riding an ATV. The rivers converge on the plot, creating a fair amount of coastline. You can sit on the river bank in the evening and listen to the otter or beaver splashing. Or a worm-eater surprising prey. Behind the river, I find a sandy desert covered with pines and lichens.
