We have renovated our farmhouse with knowledge of building conservation, the environment and sustainability. The beautiful colors of egg-oil tempera adorn the walls, and genuine linseed oil paint is a matter of course in a late 19th-century house. Beautiful tiled stoves provide pleasant warmth, and the kitchen is large and spacious. In winter, there are excellent conditions for cross-country and downhill skiing at Romme Alpin. An approximately 8 km long ice skating rink is plowed on our lake, with access about 100 meters from the farm. The house is located close to the cities of Falun and Borlänge.

Guest house with lake view

Here, it feels like you're in the countryside, but still in town. You live in peace and quiet, without TV, by Lake Varpan with only 2.5 km to Lugnet's ski stadium and 3 km to Falun of Falun. You have 600 meters to the forest and Lugnet Nature Reserve. Swim in the lake from the jetty in the summer or take a dip in the ice hole in winter. Wood-fired sauna is available, bring your own wood if you want to use the sauna. In winter, if the weather and wind allow, there may be a plowed ice rink/walking path on the lake, and ski trails are usually prepared.

Electric car charging possible. 12 km to Carl Larsson Farm 7 km to Falu Mine and the World Heritage 6 km to Lugnet ski area (Swedish ski games) and sports facilities.

Villa with lower floor apartment with its own entrance. The host couple lives in the house. 200 meters to Lake Runn which offers plowed ice skating rinks in winter. In summer, there is a bar and an ice cream stand by the lake, as well as kayak rentals. Two simpler bikes can be borrowed from us. (We also have two kayaks that can be rented if you let us know in advance.) Close to Romme Alpin and Bjursås Ski Center, about 30 minutes by car. 5 minutes to the city and Lugnet Sports Facility.

Newly-built house on lake plot near Romme Alpin

Welcome to a newly built house on its own lake plot with magical views! In summer, you can enjoy swimming and sun from your own jetty and borrow a rowing boat, SUP and wood-fired hot tub. In the fall, you pick berries and mushrooms directly outside the house. In winter, it is about 13 minutes to Romme Alpin. When there is ice on the lake, you can ice skate and take lovely walks. There is a sauna and fireplace with access to wood for frozen ski enthusiasts.

Newly-built apartment in pool house 800 meters from Lugnet

Rent our pool house of about 20 square meters with a spacious hall, bathroom with laundry facilities, and a room with a kitchen, sofa, and a 160 cm bed. Bedlinen and towels are included. Parking directly outside included. You can store your skis or bikes in locked space if you wish. About 800 meters to Lugnet's outdoor area with cross-country tracks, bathhouses, bike trails and the university Dalarna. 3 minutes drive to the city center and grocery stores.

Forget everyday worries in this spacious and peaceful villa with hot tub with lake view on one side and beautiful forest on the other. If you're lucky, you can even see the northern lights from the hot tub, but it's beautiful enough to be able to look at the stars on a starry night. Why not treat yourself and book a massage? Built by Nobel Prize winner Selma Lagerlöf's friend Valborg Olander, with typical details of the time remaining in the house. Pets are welcome, we ourselves have dogs in the house as we live in the other part of the building. Guests are welcome to use parts of the garden.
