Great place to stay in the heart of Kottayam.

Myself & my kids wanted a safe place close to our families and this was quite the right pad. We instantly felt at home. The views added to the serenity vibe. We were unperturbed by the rains and winds at this time of the year. The house was clean with aesthetic decor, apt for an AirBnB, tidy bathrooms and useable kitchen. We were provided with towels and the washing machine came handy. Free of mosquitos! Since we didn’t want to bother with groceries, we ordered take-ins and Swiggy/Zomato came in handy but we missed home food. Rem, the hostess with the mostess, was ever so helpful and compassionate, and added to the charm of the property. We are ever so grateful to her and she is an asset to Anna. Security was reassuring and the residents were friendly. We had a great stay and our kids want to come back here for our next holiday. 100% enjoyed our stay which met all our needs.

Chandu is for sure a super-host in the making. He is really professional and friendly and proactive to the core. His place is simply amazing and exactly as described. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a home away from home in this location. The security guard was also worth mentioning, unlike my previous interactions with this cohort, the guard here was simply amazing and friendly.

Had a pleasant stay and worthwhile experience at Nijin’s flat. Nijin was very responsive and moveover Nijins father was extremely understanding and helpful during our stay. We needed extra services and after speaking to Nijin and his father, they helped and sorted out our needs. Flat was clean and tidy and secure place to live. Good view and commutable to Kottayam and nearby major places. Definitely worth the money and would highly recommend.

Thomas homestay is a very good budget friendly place to stay.. the rooms were as shown in photo.. sir Thomas also helped us with arranging a backwaters ride.. he was very helpful.. and the place is also walking distance to Alleppey Beach

Mr. Adam is an exceptional host. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at his residence. The accommodations were of the highest quality, with spacious rooms and well-appointed bathrooms. I highly recommend his hospitality services.

Thomas’ checkin was extremely organised, all the family were welcoming and every effort was made to help us achieve everything we wanted to do. An absolute gentleman in every sense. Thanks to Thomas we were able to book train tickets, tuktuks and go to the post office and enjoy our last few moments India without any stress.

I had the privilege of being the maiden guest in this property. This sparkling property is an epitome of perfection in every action. Located in serene greens and salubrious weather, one can't miss the sounds of silence and the beauty of darkness. The tastefully decorated bed-rooms and luxurious rest rooms compel one to spend longer than justifiable time indoors!! However, the best part of the property are the hosts who manage them meticulously. The warmth and hospitality exuded by the hosts dwarfed and overshadowed minor teething problems. It was no wonder that the hostess was an honours in Home Science!! The signature Kerala breakfasts churned out by the hostess was 'simbly' delicious, to put it in native tongue. The hosts became instant friends and escorted us to every curiosity corner including the KR Narayanan Institute of Visual Sciences. At the end of our two days stay, we carried not just nostalgic memories of a great holiday, but a strong bond of friendship with the hosts and a hearty log of Panchamugam wood gifted by the hosts and that would remain in our hearts and stomachs for the rest of our lives!! Would strongly recommend Olickal House for a memorable family holiday.

We enjoyed our first Homestay experience at the Elambaaseril Estate. The kindness and hospitality of Anil and his family made us feel very welcome. The rooms with ensuite bathrooms are spacious and comfortable with air conditioning and nice fresh bed linen. The estate is set amongst lush green trees and is very private. The delicious freshly cooked breakfasts consisting of traditional keralan food, fresh fruit, eggs, juices and tea and coffee kept us going all morning. Anil was very helpful with our journeys and visits and organised transport whenever we required it. Anil and his family could not have been kinder to us. We of course recommend this homestay to whomever is visiting this part of Kerala.

Our one night stay @ Marari beach villa hosted by EV Raju became a memory to cherish simply because of the host , his family and the service staff. Raju, the wonderful host, along with his wife, left no stone unturned to make us feel at home. He went out of the way, arranged a birthday party for us. His eagerness to serve and go that extra mile is what makes this place worth every nickle. However, it would help more if they had a formal tie-up with nearby restaurants for food.

We enjoyed our stay with Chandra and Beena very much. Chandra greeted us at the gate, waiting with fresh coconuts from their backyard. Beena cooked three delicious and elaborate meals for us, exposing us to a range of homestyle dishes while adjusting to our preferences. The house was clean and comfortable. The village is calm, though the house itself faces a busy road. For foreign travelers, Ushas Homestay is best for a slower-paced taste of local life. Unlike other places marketed "Homestay", at Ushas you are truly guests in their home eating from their kitchen. We reached Ushas from Kumarakom by bus, after a boat ride. From Ushas, we toured the village and witnessed a temple festival in nearby Vaikom. There is also a kayaking company within walking distance, who you can call in advance to arrage availability. The hosts speak English and Hindi well, and are pleasant to converse with at meals. Thank you to Chandra and Beena.
