Five Steps to the Sea | Villa with Direct Access to a Private Beach | Spectacular Rooftop Deck, Hammocks, BBQ, and the Sounds of Waves and Campfires

5 steps to the sea. This is a private villa located in a cove on Yagajishima Island. It's neither a hotel nor glamping, and the heart of this place is the wooden deck and outdoor living room that open up to the sea. Enjoy a BBQ on a genuine Weber grill and gather around the fire in the campfire area at night. There are very few accommodations in Okinawa where you can have a campfire. The first floor is a lounge that resembles a secret base, created by renovating a garage. The second floor is a space created solely for sleeping, with a row of high-quality queen-size beds. From the rooftop, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the sea and sky, and you can use the SUPs and kayaks free of charge. Only guests can go directly to the beach in front of the building. Limited to one group per day. The entire building and property are all yours during your stay. Since we have just started listing on Airbnb, we are currently offering a special price. Please take advantage of this opportunity.

Island Hideaway, 1 Min to the Sea

Stay a while. Hamahiga rewards those who do. A quiet island off Okinawa’s east coast, connected to the mainland by two bridges. According to Ryukyuan legend, Amamikyo and Shirumichu, the ancestral gods of the Ryukyus, first settled here. Sacred places remain, and a peaceful spirit still lingers. Swim before breakfast, or float in the sea at day’s end—just a minute’s walk away. One night only scratches the surface; a week lets the island unfold. The longer you stay, the lower your nightly rate.

A Quiet Seaside Hideaway / Hacobune Tiny house

Perhaps the world moves a little too fast. HACOBUNE is a small tiny house by the sea. Wake to birdsong. Brew a cup of coffee. Take a slow walk to the beach. Without filling your day with plans, you’ll find it quietly fulfilled. What we hope to offer is not simply a trip to Okinawa, but the feeling of living here, if only for a little while. If, by the end of your stay, your heart feels just a little lighter, we couldn’t ask for anything more
