The moment I entered the room, there was a good smell of tatami mats, and when I looked at the bath, the scent of cypress was soothing. And it was very spacious, with a lot of beds, and it was prepared to lay futons on the tatami mats. I felt like it was a room where I could relax from kids to grandparents. Everything was great! Emika is a very friendly and accommodating host. We stayed for 3 weeks. When we return we will definitely consider staying here again! There were a few things that were missing that I am used to, however this was my first time in a foreign country and I expected that things would be a little different. Dressers, a stove, patio table, nightstands and traditional American showers/tubs are examples of things that were not available. However, we had many other cool amenities available! Location is awesome! There is a beautiful view of the water, nearby islands and the northern part of Okinawa. Several stores within walking distance. There is noise at night - Wind, sirens and traffic, some nights worse than others - Next time I will bring noise cancelling ear buds. Pay attention to "entry into room" in house directions, this means there is a charge for guests, not overnight guests but any guests, any time. Thank you for your hospitality Emika!!!!
