After living in Sweden and New Zealand, I returned to Japan and, together with my husband, Andy, took over a cabin that was scheduled for demolition just one month later. This house was carefully renovated by my wife and me, one detail at a time, like a work of art. It is a small, cute log house built 40 years ago. This facility is suitable for BBQs. There is a large tree, and the sunlight filtering through the trees feels great! ★ We do not accept guests who dislike insects. There are always stink bugs and seasonal insects. We do not accept complaints about insects. ◽︎ We will explain the specifications on site at check-in. ◽︎ Please bring tissues and kitchen paper with you. Shampoo, body soap, toothbrushes, bath towels, and face towels are provided for the number of people. We do not provide cutlery for small children. The Hachioji River is located from the wooden deck. Enjoy a barbecue and tea time while enjoying the stunning scenery that changes depending on the sound of the river and the seasons. There are also 2 large bathtubs and showers where you can relax. You can take a bath with your family and group. You can enjoy a barbecue on the outdoor wooden deck. You don't need to prepare any gear or anything else. Please only bring ingredients, condiments, and drinks. * In the event of strong winds, we may ask you to refrain from using the barbecue area for safety reasons. ⚠︎ Due to the location close to the mountains and surrounded by nature, insects may enter the room in certain seasons, even if measures are taken. You can enjoy cherry blossoms in Umizu Osaki in spring, swimming in Lake Biwa in summer, fruit picking in early summer and autumn, and Makino Kogen, Ohana Resort, and Mt. Hakoan in winter.

A rental villa for a relaxing lifestyle on a 300 tsubo plot

　This 300-tsubo rental villa is limited to one group per day and is surrounded by nature at the foot of the Hakusan Ski Resort in the Lake West area of Shiga Prefecture. In winter, spend the day with a warm wood stove. Firewood is available free of charge, mainly sawtooth oak and beech. We will carefully explain how to use the stove at check-in. Please use it with peace of mind. 　On the south side of the villa, you can spend a quiet time with a hammock and bench in the sawtooth oak forest. On the east side is a barbecue corner, a long garden, and a wooden deck. On the north side, there is a sawtooth oak forest and you can pick chestnuts in autumn. Nearby popular spots include Heisu Osaki, one of the 100 best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan in spring, Lake Biwa in summer, a huge avenue of Metasequoia trees, one of the 100 best street trees in Japan in autumn, and Hakushin Shrine, a power spot with a large torii gate floating on Lake Biwa, is also very popular in winter.
