Cabin holiday rentals in Lake Chelan

Whiskey River Retreat is beautiful. Our family loved our stay in this home. The decor was fun and eclectic and we felt so cozy and at home. The heated bathroom floor, hot tub, and views of the river were extra wonderful. We would absolutely stay again and would recommend this home to any of our friends, too.

2 weeks of peaceful country living! My husband and I "worked" from the house, and the Wi-Fi was excellent. It was great to take a break in the sun on the swing on the front porch or in a cushy chair on the back deck. Private-like setting, did not notice much of the neighbors' noise during our stay. Family came and went, and the upstairs bedrooms were sufficient for the 4 extra guests we had at 1 time. The living/dining area was spacious and room to play games at the table. Christine was very responsive to our needs and brought dish rags when we could not find any and extra paper products for our longer stay. We could not have asked for a better cabin away from home! We will be back!

It was everything as advertised, and more. This was our first trip to this part of Washington and cannot wait to return and this home is a major reason. The instruction book was one of the finest I have ever read. The amenities were well thought out and expansive. Will return here in a heartbeat.

What a beautiful peaceful setting! Cabin was perfect, with lots of space, and the deck was great for relaxing. Plenty of room outside for the dogs to roam and a walkable neighborhood. Only 3 miles to the state park and just 20 minutes from Leavenworth. Unfortunately, we didn’t stay long as it was just a stop over to our final destination , but we would definitely stay again. David was a great host.

We girls always get together in June near Leavenworth. We decided to try a new place to stay this year. It was what we want peaceful, beautiful setting and very comfortable for cooking, playing, games and long talks.

We had a wonderful stay at Alpenglow! Lots of room and open space, perfect for our group. The property was beautiful and the host was very welcoming!

As we transitioned from highway to local street to the narrow road getting to the cabin, we could feel all the calm nature taking over. This getaway spot is the perfect balance between minimalism and essential needs. There's running water, electricity, heat, AC (which we definitely needed on a 90 degree day!), etc., but no excess of anything. It's a proper getaway without the challenges of being truly off grid and the view is amazing. My wife and I ate our breakfasts outside, so we could listen to the river and birds chirping. It's also just under 30 minutes to Leavenworth, which is a must-see town, so don't miss it. Everything we needed to know was in the first message from Steve, but he also reached out letting us know we could check in early. We had an issue with the breaker for the L2 charger tripping (wasn't a problem because we just charged at Safeway) that we mentioned after checking out and Steve promptly responded and let us know he replaced it! Great host and great cabin!

Great place, responsive host, stocked kitchen, ping pong and foos ball, beautiful lake, kayaks and other water gear on site, great space for board games and shared meals.

We really enjoyed our stay here, specially being close to nature. The house has a lot of amenities and was able to accommodate all of our needs for the stay.

Loved this place! Such a beautiful location and view. Would be a great place any time of year. Only about 5 minutes outside of town. Definitely visit The Alps candy store next door. Would definitely book again.

Lovely space, well stocked kitchen. We made good use of the grill and the hot tub. Cozying up in front of the fire in the evening was delightful. Peaceful location with good access to Stevens Pass and Leavenworth. Our dog loved it too. We hope to stay again!

Beautiful place to stay at very nice views. I loved every second of my stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking for an escape. Shannon was very friendly and the place had some pretty cool features with the hot tub and the air hockey. Would definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We brought four kids and it dumped snow while we were here. The provided sleds and sledding hill directly behind was a highlight. The kitchen was clean and stocked well. We made many meals, and found everything we needed. Very much appreciated the washer and dryer and provided amenities. Everything worked as it should throughout the house. After a long day full of winter activities we were always excited to get in the hot tub. Hot tub was a great temp and nice and clean. Towels provided. We visited Leavenworth daily and the roads were well plowed everyday. We liked staying outside of town and enjoying a peaceful retreat. Lynn was quick to reply to messages, provided thorough information, and check in/out were easy. We will definitely keep this place in mind when we return to the area to book again! Thank you!

The cabin is very nice. It is thoughtfully decorated, has comfortable beds and linens, a well-stocked kitchen, good Wi-Fi, and quiet, and is in a stunning setting on a riverbank. Raye is super responsive. If it is your first time to Stehekin - and you plan to get around vs. staying at the cabin- you might want to organize some transportation if you want to get around, esp when it is 95+F, intermittently smokey. The ATV provided is only permitted to be used to get to the cabin when you arrive and back to the harbor when you depart. The bakery is only 0.5 miles away but the lake is 2.5 miles and the ranch is 7 miles. There is one set of trails (Rainbow loop) across from the cabin but the others are at the ranch - (lake trails are currently closed due to Pioneer fire 2024). There is a shuttle but it only runs 4x/day and you have to time it well on your return from the trails. No cell service.

It was a great little cabin to stay at. Very peaceful and private.

We had an amazing time! our intent on getting away was to spend one on one time together without our 5 kids in tow. This was exactly the place we needed. Thank you for hosting us!

This cabin is a beautiful stay - Tracy is such an accommodating host. The description of the cabin is accurate, but nothing can describe how peaceful and beautiful this property is. It is located right on the river. The temperature of the cabin was very comfortable, and the hot tub was very clean and comfortable. There is little light pollution, so the stars were immaculate on a clear night. Tracy was super welcoming and easily reachable. This is a perfect spot if you are looking to have a 2-person get-away. It is only 25 min. out of downtown Leavenworth, and a very easy drive!! Thank you :)

Hey a great time, nice cabin in a friendly safe area.. ponderosa community is active and secure. Staying in leavenworth can be a nightmare and overpriced, i was happy this was a much better option for my family and far more relaxing yet a short trip from town.

Loved our stay at Dirty Face Lodge. Perfect setting for dozen family members. Celebrated daughter's 40th birthday, hung out and enjoyed games and the snow! Trip into Leavenworth was worth the drive but the retreat to the cabin was loved by all. Home away from home, the time just flew by.
