This cabin was the perfect winter getaway! Located just a short drive from Purgatory Ski Resort, it’s nestled in a peaceful, secluded setting surrounded by beautiful trees and plenty of snow. The cozy cabin had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and the serene atmosphere made it feel like a true escape. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet retreat with easy access to the slopes!

There was some confusion on arrival, totally my fault, but Fairly was friendly and quick to respond and resolve the situation. The accommodation was clean with a comfortable stay, a well equipped kitchen and lovely and warm when we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed using the hot tub both the evening of arrival and morning before we left. This cabin is highly recommended

We had such a great time staying here. The location is perfect and everything was exactly how it was described. Great views and the bar next door had great food and drinks too.

My husband and I spent a weekend at Al’s place with our dog. This place is so stunning! It is very remote, so be sure to bring groceries and any supplies you need with you. It rained and snowed a bit while we were there so the hot tub was a perfect addition! We went running to a few of the nearby lakes, gorgeous and easy to navigate our way around. Dog friendly and very peaceful. We hope to come visit again in the future!

The cabin was exactly as it was published. Super cute, had everything we needed, comfy bed and the hot tub was a perfect ending to a long day of riding. Beautiful surroundings and super quiet. Will definitely stay there again and recommend to all who go to that area.

This place was better than the photos! Everything was very clean. Host was helpful and responsive & we loved seeing the deer around the property every day! I definitely want to bring our children with us on the next trip but it was the perfect spot for celebrating our 10 year anniversary!

House was very nice. The amount of space worked out well for our family. A helpful hint for those who stay off season; grocery stores close by 6 pm at latest (except for DG) and number of restaurants are closed or have early closing in the area. So plan ahead. And bring your own grocery bags. Other than that, we loved the area. The kids and I really enjoyed our walk to the river.

Great spot to stay. Our adult children immediately gave it a thumbs up (they are very picky). Very rustic and warm. We used the wood stove a lot. The cabin had a great atmosphere. Having the Rio Grande River 50 feet away didn't hurt the scenery. The cabin was well equipped. We had everything we needed to cook (we only ate out once). Of all of the airbnb places we have stayed. This was our favorite. We'll stay here again if we visit South Fork and Wolf Creek again.

Clean and comfortable, with hosts making themselves available for general and specific questions of the area. Very friendly and accommodating.

This place was great. It was peaceful sitting by the fire pit and listening to the forest. A great place for a girls fishing weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay in Creede. The cabin is in a great location and conveniently located for walking Main street and restaurants. We were able to get great hiking recommendations from Visitor Center. We would definitely stay there again.

The cabin was great! Well kept, and well stocked. My kids had the best time taking in the view of the lake and the mountains from the back porch. We loved it!!

Very peaceful stay in a beautiful setting. Very well equipped house. The deck and porch are great for watching wildlife, enjoying a late afternoon summer shower or just enjoying the view. Forrest is very thick and full of wildlife. Walking down the old logging road off the back of the property was perfect. The roads are well maintained and very walkable for park like strolls thru the neighborhood. House is located far enough off the beaten path to be peaceful but still close enough to Montrose, Gunnison, Lake City, Blue Mesa Reservoir, Ridgeway Reservoir and places in between for endless activities. The house sits at an elevation which treats guests to nice cool summer mornings and mild afternoon temperatures.

We loved our week at Alpine Spruce Cabin in South Fork. It worked great for our group, two families traveling together! The cabin is spacious, cozy and well stocked. Janet was gracious and helpful. The well-equipped kitchen worked great to feed our group. (We made breakfast and supper each day plus packed picnic lunches.) Ample dishes, knives, and silverware plus kitchen basics like some spices, salt and pepper, flour, etc., made cooking a breeze. After long days of skiing at Wolf Creek (25 minutes away) or an adventure to the Great Sand Dunes National Park (75 minutes away), we came back to the cabin to enjoy plenty of games, puzzles and the foosball table. There’s some uniquenesses to this remodeled cabin. The washer is in the kitchen and the dryer is in a garage area. The bunk room is through one of the bedrooms and the bathroom or a quick walk around the outside to the back entrance. Overall, the owners have done a wonderful job making this cabin a great home away from home!

Don was personable and proactive from the very get-go, helping us to feel secure and welcome even months ahead of time. The location itself was beautiful, with a view of the lake from the firepit, firewood provisions overflowing. There were neighbors nearby, but it was still a private and relatively large piece of beautiful personal property. Our kids loved the firepit, the hammock, the canoes (life jackets provided). Inside, we were greeted with a space that felt luxurious, outdoorsy, and "home-y." The kitchen had all high-quality amenities (save a dishwasher). Hot and cold water, all was from a filtered well that was drinkable. The livingroom was surprisingly spacious, with a fireplace that loved sitting by morning an evening. There were hundreds of DVDs, books, and even family boardgames. The entire house shone it's proud history with outdoorsy keepsakes, 100 year old newspapers, paintings. The beds were all incredibly comfortable; It was the best sleep I'd had in months.

The space was perfect for an overnight stay for me and my husband. Everything we needed was there (and more!). The bikes were a nice surprise-the town is totally walkable but it was even more fun on the bikes that were for provided for our use! We enjoyed how cute the space was, the bed was super comfortable, and we wished we had more time to enjoy the corn-hole and fire pit. We would definitely stay again!

Kathryn's home is on the lake and close to Town. Very peaceful and restful. We will stay there again.

What an amazing find! Bill and Sandy's cabin sits in the middle of what has to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Much as we wanted to hike and fish (well, try to fish), we had trouble leaving the porch with its amazing view of the pasture, the horses and mules, the beautiful hillside, and the distant reservoir. The silence, except for a few bird calls and an occasional whinny from a horse, was so peaceful and inspiring. The cabin, as others have said, is spacious and well-stocked, even to the point of having a good supply of firewood, kindling, and old newspaper for the woodstove and the outdoor firepit. The cabin is also something of a museum, full of antique ranching gear and other fascinating items. Can't say enough good things about it. And Bill and Sandy were great hosts. We enjoyed Bill's anecdotes about ranching and the general area. One of our most memorable vacations and all too short.

Charles's place was a perfect mountain getaway for our family!! The cabin is immaculately furnished with everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen and laundry, cozy bedrooms, tv, wifi, games, books and a spacious deck with BBQ. The views were spectacular, complete with the sound of rushing water from the Cimarron River, visiting chipmonks and deer grazing close to the cabin! 🦌🏞 We enjoyed fishing and kayaking at Silver Jack, hiking the East Fork and Wetterhorn Basin Trailheads, and visits to Ouray (Box Canyon & Hot Springs) and Telluride (gondola to Mountain Village). Charles was a superb host - thanks for a wonderful stay!! Highly recommended 🌟🌟

This was by far the most beautiful setting we’ve seen. The place was spotless, the views were stunning and it was so peaceful. Loved the hiking, especially Engineer Mountain and Potato Lake (where we just walked up to the trailhead from the house). One of the best farm to table restaurants, James Ranch, where the food is either raised on premises or locally sourced. They also have a great market where we purchased our meats and cheeses for the stay. And Honeyville market across the road was a fun stop also. Will love to come back in September for the aspen which are prolific around the home and neighborhood. Alma was so responsive to our questions — great host. Definitely recommend a vehicle that sits high as the 1 mile rd into the place is very rocky and bumpy.

We had a fabulous winter stay in Lake City to do some ice climbing. The house had perfect amenities and the host had the place warmed up when we arrived.
