Holiday rentals with a kayak in Lake Hopatcong

We had an unforgettable stay at this magical cabin! Izzy and Joe are amazing hosts—warm, responsive, and incredibly thoughtful. Check-in was seamless, and since late checking was requested by them , they kindly offered a late checkout, which we truly appreciated and made our departure more relaxed. The cabin itself is even better than the photos—beautifully decorated, full of natural light, and thoughtfully designed. The bedroom and sunroom with lake views quickly became our favorite cozy spots. The private island with its dreamy daybed swing and breathtaking lake views felt like a hidden paradise, and our dog loved roaming leash-free on the island. Everything in the cabin is intuitively organized, with smart controls for lighting, shades, and TV—managed via an iPad that also contains a well-designed digital guide. We’ve stayed at many cabins over the years, and this one stands out in every way. We’re already planning to return and make this special place an annual tradition

From the beginning of our journey to the conclusion of our journey Livia’s hospitality and thoughtfulness of her space we were very impressed. Squeaky clean, well stocked kitchen (just about everything you’d need) comfortable beds and clear instructions for the household are its selling points. This is our first experience with Livia’s property and it won’t be our last. We’re planning on another visit later this year because of this experience. The ratings are real people! You won’t be disappointed.

The house is beautiful!!!!! Very quiet ,clean, very spacious, house is well equipped with everything we needed and more the town is beautiful and lots to do. We are already planning on coming back

We were very satisfied with our stay. Nick replied promptly to all of my text messages and was very helpful. He usually has firewood split and stacked, but there was no more split firewood. I texted him to ask where I could go get firewood or if he had the tools so I could split it manually, but he said that we are on vacation and should relax. Within about an hour, split firewood was delivered and placed in the storage area for us! It rained every single day, but we were very thankful for the indoor activities the finished basement. There was a poker table with chips and cards, karaoke machine, basketball, table tennis, pac-man, fussball , a fitness area with a bike, yoga mat and weights. The only two things I did not like, were out of Nick's control. One was that the lake was very mucky and when I fell in 3 times, I came up smelling like manure. You can kayak on it, but I would advise not falling in. The other issue was the long line at the gate to enter the community.

I stayed here with 6 girls for my bachelorette trip and we had a great time. Location is great so much to do in the area and loved sitting out my the lake. Only thing I'd say is that the spillway is a little louder than I expected. I loved all the wildlife that we saw too.

Heather was very interactive with my stay and gives very clear instructions! The house is exactly as described and photoed! Fun activities to do at home and very clean! Plenty of space in the house with a great kitchen! Definitely would stay again and recommend to friends/family!

Steven was very responsive to any questions we had. The place was beautiful and peaceful. The hot tub was well maintained. The kayaks were fun. The outdoor area was beautiful and exactly what we were hoping for regarding privacy. All amenities were as described.

Very happy with our stay. Responsive and helpful host. Beautiful home and scenery to get away. Surrounded by nature, with deer and geese passing through the property. Had a great time out on the lake using the kayaks and boat available and getting some fishing in.

Benjamin's place is all you expect and more. It is clean, roomy, comfortable, and quiet. My family is all about comfortable temperatures and the AC makes each room feel great. If you are sitting on the deck, off the kitchen, there is a breeze with pretty sunrises and sunsets. Ben was a thoughtful host! I reached out with one simple question and before we knew it we had items delivered to the door - for our family and our dog! It was a delightful and welcoming touch. The cottage is so comfortable with fabulous bedding, a fantastic Jacuzzi tub, a fully stocked kitchen, and a full coffee and tea bar! Such a generous amenity. I highly recommend Benjamin's cottage.

Allison’s place is perfect if you’re looking for a cute cozy space to unwind and relax. Her place was so clean and looked exactly like the photos. She’s more than willing to help with anything you need while you’re there too! Overall great place to stay!

Aga couldn’t have been a more responsive and gracious host. The house is simply perfect - the outdoor areas are expansive and beautifully appointed. The kitchen and bathrooms are all renovated and beautifully maintained. We absolutely loved our stay. 10/10 and will definitely rent this lovely home again.

Peaceful surroundings, beautiful lake, wonderful house and amazing hosts! Had an absolute ball kayaking, fishing, and enjoying nature. This was my second trip and can’t wait to go back again.

It was an incredible experience. My family, my two dogs, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our wonderful and attentive host, John, who helped us carry our bags and belongings to the cabin. The house is a cozy 1930s cottage, nestled on a hill in a green meadow, offering peaceful views in a pristine and tranquil setting overlooking the Delaware River which was directly in front of the house. The house features beautiful antique furniture, a well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. We especially liked that the house was dog-friendly. It was a haven for them! It was amazing to see marmots, deer, eagles, and birds of various species, which were all part of our enjoyment. We will definitely consider staying here again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and be in touch with nature. I stayed for a month solo to focus on my projects & it was the most peaceful month. The house is contained in nature with a plethora of birds & animal life that I witnessed.. a crane fishing at the creek beside the house as I worked, a pair of woodpeckers hunting at the lawn, a chipmunk that lives under the house & has a morning ritual of its own. All while the lake boasted breathtaking sunsets. On the practical side, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything one needs to cook everyday, which I did. It was private & safe for a solo girl like me to stay a month. Amazon found its way to it no problem. And there are nice streets to take long walks which I did 1 hour a day. Very friendly neighbors, everyone waves at ya. The covered patio, working from the dinner table, waking up in the bedroom to the lake.. all main areas are flanked by beauty. Really was perfect for a solo getaway. Also wifi was very reliable. Keep in mind lake living = insects. They’re harmless. Highly rec renting!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was located right on the lake. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The instructions were detailed and organized and the hosts were excellent communicators. The only issue was the 3rd bedroom which was more of a weight room with a twin bed. Otherwise the two bedrooms were great as was the rest of the home.

Timothy's cabin was so nice! It was clean, easy to find, and had great outdoor space. We felt right at home! We also appreciated that it was pet friendly as well. Would stay at his property again for sure.

We just stayed here for a 4-day Girls' Trip and had an amazing time! The house exceeded our expectations, with everything we could have possibly needed. Adam's instructions were clear, check in was super easy, and he has been super quick to respond to any questions. The house and surroundings were clean, quiet, and peaceful. If you come in the warm months be sure to ask for the kayaks and paddle boards to be left out! We had a blast! The house was also close to lots of trails for hiking and great restaurants. Overall, a 5/5 experience, would definitely recommend!

The Nordic Cabin was the perfect setting for my husband and I to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. The cabin is beautiful and the modern design, furnishings, and decor really stand out. Instructions of how to get into the cabin and the pitcures provided made check in and check out a breeze. The kitchen was well stocked. A bottle of white wine and a few treats were left for us. The kitchen offered different spices, oils, milk, and eggs. Kitchen utensils, pots/pans, dishes, cups, glasses, etc are provided, as well as cleaning supplies. The bathroom was stocked with toiletries. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the cozy living room and slept well in the beautiful bedroom. Last, I have to say that the first time we opened the gate at night, after dinner in Warwick, and saw all of the outdoor lights on, really made it feel like we were entering an enchanted garden. Would definitely come back!! Thank you Kamil and Margaret!!
