Holiday rentals with a patio in Lake Houston

Loved staying here and would be happy to be back. It’s very spacious, new, and feels like home, if a little sparse. But one trip to HEB made it feel fully stocked and ready for a week-long stay (or much more…). Sreenivas and team are a very responsive and helpful team—I was in good hands the whole stay. Getting in and out was undramatic, the neighborhood is full of hidden gems, and the weather is… well… Houston-y. You can’t have it all.

Everything was awesome ,but the bottom of the tub was dirty, and the toilet filled very slowly I lost the # and sent him an email him and asked him to call me and he didn't get back to me this time ,and I feel that should be taken care of,I fill I due some kind refund. Other than that I loved the place, everything but that was very clean .

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay! We love traveling downtown, and this place was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. We’re already looking forward to returning hopefully on a Tuesday and would appreciate it if a discount could be considered. Thank you!

Absolutely a gem!!!!! LOCATION!!!LOCATION!!! LOCATION!!! The Zen Den was so adorable, perfect for a couples getaway. Very well put together and the aesthetic was just fabulous. If you're looking for a quiet, clean, comfortable, relaxing, central location place. The Zen Den it is. You will not regret your stay. We truly enjoyed our stay and loved that we were less than 10min to everything. Especially a skip and hop away from one of our favorite, Gaido's restaurant. Definitely will book again. Awesome place and exceptional hosts! Place is nicely appointed and well taken care of. Easy walk to the beach and good pool area. Hosts communicate well and are very responsive. Great location to attractions and restaurants without being in the middle of the commotion. Highly recommend this property!!

This place was great and met all of our needs! We were happy to be within walking distance to Daikin Park (a little less than a mile) and some nice local spots for food. (Yelp was very helpful) The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was very comfy, the little balcony was a nice place for morning coffee, and the AC was highly effective. Other reviewers noted the lengthy instructions, so we took time to read them way in advance to prepare. It’s a lot, but it works. WiFi was strong and easy to connect to. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The only downside had nothing at all to do with the unit: there seems to be a lot of outside noise in the evening, especially when motor bike groups ride through to take advantage of the wide straight streets in the area. Once it all dies down all is quiet. Even with the outside noise, I would stay here again. The location and the unit are great!

Beautiful, well maintained apartment….looked identical to the pictures. The dog park was an added bonus! Nicole was very responsive and all instructions were perfect! I would definitely stay again 😃

Absolutely loved our stay here. Right on the water and was just a dream. Just what we needed for a quick peaceful weekend getaway. Quiet and everything you expect in a country living atmosphere. My husband and I stayed up and watched the stars laying on the deck, listening to the bugs and wind, playing uno and it was so fun! We fished all day and enjoyed the pool with our baby. This place was everything we expected and more! We’d definitely stay here again and plan to every lake trip we take! Thanks Amanda and Mark for the best stay ever!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! The house was spacious and very accommodating for our entire family. Everything was spotless, and the home was well-stocked with many thoughtful amenities that made our stay even more comfortable. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed to prepare our meals with ease. One of the highlights was the barn and the peaceful, scenic property surrounding the home. Our family truly enjoyed the serenity and the open space—it was the perfect setting to relax and spend quality time together. Robin was an amazing host! She responded immediately to any questions or concerns, making sure we felt welcomed and had everything we needed throughout our stay. This home is a perfect location for family gatherings or simply retreating from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. My extended family of 12 stayed in this amazing house in Conroe to be close to the venue for my son‘s wedding. It allowed us to all be together, and not in the coldness of a hotel. The house was just as described, if not better, and had everything. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice or with the communication of our hosts. If I’m ever in the area again for an extended time, I will absolutely stay there again. Highly recommend!

Dawn’s place is so beautiful, charming, and clean! We planned a last minute staycation for Father’s Day and we could not get over how cute the home was. There was so much thoughtful attention to detail! It was very clean and looked exactly like the photos, lots of natural light, all of the amenities you could need, and the space just has so much character. While we really wanted to stay on the beach, it was close enough, and because it was such a beautiful space we were more than happy we chose to stay there and will definitely stay again! I loved the open kitchen/living space. It was perfect for cooking, listening to music, playing card games, and enjoying family time. Overall, everything was wonderful and Dawn is a great host. The only thing that should be noted, and this is nothing to do with Dawn’s place, there is a rooster in the back neighbors yard that crows non-stop! Be prepared to play some white noise or wear earplugs to drown it out if you’re a light sleeper!

Overall had a great stay! A few things to note for future b&bers: The only staircase is a black spiral staircase, which was a little difficult for our older family members to manage. The cooking utensils/food storage is a bit on the sparse side, if you plan on doing a lot of cooking/having leftovers, you may want to bring some cheap plastic Tupperware! The bbq grill/beach gear leaves a lot to be desired! It has definitely seen the wear and tear of previous guests. Which isn’t a big deal, but not something to depend on using without some TLC. Overall our stay was amazing. It’s a dream location with amazing beach access. The beds were phenomenal, and I will miss how comfortable it was. Shannon was an amazing host and left fresh flowers and apothecary items for us leaving the whole place smelling amazing our whole visit. I would absolutely recommend Mermaid manor to anyone visiting the area!

Very nice and peaceful environment. Had plenty to do to keep our family and kids engaged. There were a few chairs loose or broken but it wasn't enough to look past and enjoy our time. The pool table came in handy. The rooms were great. The bunk bed room was good but the very top bunk is were too close to the ceiling and could make you claustrophobic if you weren't already. Overall great experience.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay here for a little getaway! Beautiful home, great location, peaceful, cozy, very clean. Our kids loved the pool and already asking when are we coming back. Will definitely look into this place again for a vacation with our extended family in the future. Highly recommend.

Wonderful hosts to a truly immaculate place. Jaime Lynn and Vince's condo was perfect for our 3 night get away. It was extremely clean and beautiful!! They have all the amenities that you would need and more!! It exceeded my expectations! They were perfect communicators and quick to respond! Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone!

The condo was great - I only needed one night for meeting up with family, not all places will accommodate that in peak season so I really appreciated it. Everything was exceptionally clean, the view was amazing and the property is great. I would definitely recommend for a couple or small family getaway.

Walking distance to the beach! Across the street are Seawall stairs. Everything was so clean and well stocked. The ac felt great after a long day swimming. Very responsive and helpful! Would love to come back!

Jeff’s place was great! Would definitely stay here again if ever in Galveston. Waking up to hear the waves across the street and morning coffee on the balcony. We did have a power outage during our stay and the whole area was dark. Jeff reached out to make sure all was ok and if we needed anything. It was nice to know he cared.

Terra and Darin’s place was absolutely perfect for our little girls getaway trip. The unit was exactly as described, very clean and had easy access to parking AND the beach. And it was VERY well stocked. Communication was fast and they even allowed us a little leeway on the arrival time. I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a beachfront unit in the Galveston area.

The condo is well-stocked with dishes, cookware, and bathroom amenities. There is also a chest on the balcony containing a variety of recreational items for the beach. And there's a full-sized washer and dryer. I'll keep this on my list when I return.

We had a great stay at Cheryl’s place. The condo was clean and comfortable. We only stayed one full day, but I commented on the fact that the place was very well equipped with plenty kitchen items and games and facilities to make a longer stay enjoyable. It also has a wonderful view of the gulf which made sitting outside on the balcony a favorite pastime!

David was very prompt to messages and we were able to check in early. I felt like he really cared about making our last minute get away great. The condo is exactly as described and a nice spot for my husband and I to unwind. You can't go wrong with this little hideaway. Jody and Michael
