The apartment matched the description, was clean and had everything you needed. The bed and sofa bed are good to sleep in. Communicating with the host was smooth.

Juhani is very friendly and kind. He answered all our questions about access and even bought additional equipment. Unfortunately the extreme climatic conditions (-30°) and a totally snowy access in the middle of the night forced us to walk in the powder, the cold also forced us to shorten our stay but this cottage is a haven of peace , perfectly located by the lake with electricity, the latter has all the necessary comforts. Thank you to Juhani for agreeing to shorten our stay and for all his kindness. In winter I recommend this accommodation to athletes to access it and people accustomed to living conditions in the heart of nature.

Very nice accommodation, clean, close to the beach, with a beautiful yard and terrace. The hosts are pleasant and hospitable. The whole street is very lovely. The city center is also nearby by car.

Very nice place! The place was inviting and cozy, we found everything we needed. We were able to enjoy hiking on the frozen lake (following in the footsteps of snowmobiles!), at the edge of the forests. we crossed many reindeer which was fantastic for us. the places were punishable and very beautiful. Relatively close to Norway, we went to see the fjords. A beautiful discovery. We are very happy with our stay 🙂🙏🏻

Really nice house. I could live there. Right next to river which is good for watching aurora in the winter. Sauna was also good.

Superb environment. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing on the river, great northern lights, ... Very nice cabin renovated with taste and good equipment. We will be happy to come back in the summer to test the outdoor sauna and hot tub.

We ( three generations ) spent wonderful days at Tuija's house! The house with its surroundings is an oasis ! We were immediately enchanted by the extremely lovingly furnished and decorated house! Even nicer than expected. Very comfortable beds! Great amenities throughout. A very nice campfire place from which we could see northern lights on some evenings!! What a fortune! Tuija brought us grill plates so we could enjoy our food around the campfire! In addition, winter clothing (thermal suits +snow boots) of all sizes was provided! There were also snowshoes and sleighs. In the house, a wonderful fireplace provided added warmth and coziness! We also used the sauna and the beautiful bathtub a lot. Overall a dream to spend holidays in Tuija's house, we didn't want to leave...

We loved our stay at Jyrkis beautiful villa. It had everything one could wish for - sauna, hotpot, ice for bathing, equipment for snowhiking and cross country skiing. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights from the pool and do a barbecue at the kota. Nothing more to wish for - the stay was perfect and jyrki a very lovely host!

We had a very good time at the cabin in the woods. It is a great place to watch the Northern Lights at night! The whirlpool and sauna is really great. We had a very good time.

Very helpful host. Guided all possible things to be taken tare or to know before we reach there. The cottage is located located bit far from city locality, so a perfect place if you are looking for a calm peaceful vacation. Just a 100/200 meters walk - and you could stand beside the lake. Or take a walk in the trails of woods. Look through the windows - eyes will go beyond the horizon. Serenity is all around the place. Talking about the cottage, its supper equipped with almost everything that one could need to enjoy the stay. Specially the kitchen - you find every single thing for your cooking need. Loved it! Living rooms and bedrooms were very clean and tidy. Comfortable living room furnitures to relax with family or friends with a cup of coffee or even with drinks. Mobile network connectivity was excellent. Special thing to mention about the cottage location from our opinion is about northern lights. The cottage is situated probably best to enjoy northern light during the winter.

This place and its surroundings are simply so beautiful! As much coziness, peace and quiet as you can wish for. And still so much to do and see! We recommend a day trip to Tanamunningen / Høyholmen as well as exploration of the nature just around the cottage, snow shoes made that easy. We were a bit unlucky with the weather as can always happen but the house absolutely made up for that: great sauna, fireplace, grilling sausage outside by the fire in the snow and playing board games and simply watching the amazing landscape. Very cozy and spacious apartment, surrounded by nature, quiet with breathtaking views of the northern lights! Johanna is very welcoming, little touches upon arrival and loan of equipment (snowshoes & sleds) it's adorable! Modern, clean apartment in a great location overlooking Vadso Harbour, with views of the Hurtigruten ferry stopping by every morning. As birders, we particularly enjoyed looking out of the windows and seeing sea ducks - including Common and King Eider and Long-Tailed Duck - at close range in the harbour. It's possible to book a floating photographic hide in the harbour, just a short walk away, if you want even closer views of the birds. The accommodation is well located for exploring different areas of Varanger including searching for the aurora.
