Lake house holiday rentals in Lake Junaluska

I enjoyed staying in Brian's modern and cozy equipped appartement. It was the quiete environment I was looking for, with an awesome view. There were 2 Points I was concerned about, but Brian reacted immediatly. We didn't meet during my stay, what I usually prefer being in contact with hosts, but I would defenetly like to return in future.

This house was super comfortable, and the location is ideal for enjoying the Tuckasegee river centrally located close to Sylva and Dillsboro. The kitchen is updated with all the amenities. The two bedrooms are comfortable and the porch is well done and very relaxing. We also enjoyed bonfires at night in the adjacent fire pit

I am happy to leave an "A+/5-star" rating...this, from a former professor who knows all about grade inflation. From start to finish, the hosts were welcoming. The accommodation is exactly as described and lovely. What did NOT receive a 5-star rating was the fact that I got caught in the horrific hurricane that blasted through the area. That said, the house was secure with nary a leak and safely above any low-lying area. Even with no electricity or phone for 3 days (luckily the water stayed on and my hosts had left a supply of filtered water), the ability to sit on the front porch, read from various books, and even work a jigsaw puzzle by daylight meant the days went by rather uneventfully. In fact, it was not until I was able to evacuate that I learned of how destructive this storm has been. Thanks to Anna and her sisters for reaching out when they could, and bringing extra water just in case. I hope to return in better times and would be happy to stay here again.

Jennifer's home was the perfect place! It's just 10 minutes from Western NC University, 5 minutes from downtown Sylva, and less than 15 minutes from Jackson local airport. Great location, and Jennifer is extremely mindful to the little things a guest might need during their stay. Beds/pillows super comfy, great thermostat, and even a pit to roast marshmallows. Our family truly enjoyed their stay!!

We had the most amazing and relaxing time on the property, everything was clean and gorgeous. The sound of the river was wonderful and a great way to relax as well as being beautiful. The home was also well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The porch was a little oasis from the home itself and you could sleep out there it was so calming. The owners Dawn and Randall were very communicative and accommodating and made this process as easy as possible! We are definitely coming back to the area and would love to reserve this place again. 5/5 stars

This was such a beautiful place to stay while we were witnessing my daughter’s graduation from WCU. It was so spacious, clean, and had gorgeous views, all while being minutes away from the University. The host was so proactive with communication and instructions for check in and out. The place was SPOTLESS. It’s an unforgettable trip!

Fantastic place for a large group. We thoroughly involved “grandmas house”. View of the lake was great on the massive front porch. We even set up a projector screen and did some outdoor cooking! Close to Maggie valley where we played golf, waynesville for fun activities and even not bad for harrahs Cherokee casino.

The house was perfect for a larger group, plenty of space if you needed to be alone. Gorgeous view of the lake and very convenient to the highways. The bathrooms, kitchen and open floor areas were clean but perimeter of the rooms and under the furniture needed to be swiffered. Vacasa offered to come in and do that but I declined as we were halfway through our stay. We were there over Christmas and I was cooking for the crowd so I would have liked some decent serving bowls (not plastic) and do bring your own knives if you plan to cook. I would definitely stay there again.

At first I thought that it was going to be too far away from everything but it was a perfect location. Steve was very prompt in responding to any needs we had while we were there. It was the perfect place for our New Year's getaway. I will most definitely stay again. Thank you for everything Steve.

This is by far the best airbnb i have ever stayed at! The house was absolutely wonderful, equipped with everything you could need. We traveled with 4 adults and dogs and there was plenty of room for everyone. The beds were very comfortable, and the house was able to be kept at a comfortable temperature. The house was perfectly clean when we arrived. The view is amazing and you get to look at it while preparing your meals and while eating them. Sitting out in the front yard is the perfect place to get a good tan and enjoy the views. There is plenty to do around the lake that you really don't have to leave the entire time if you don't want to. The activity pass was a nice touch and added to the value of the stay, but the rentals for things like pickelball/tennis/shuffleboard don't open until 11 during the week. So bring your own equipment if you want to play earlier and beat the heat! Kathleen is a fantastic host, checks in often, and is quick to answer any questions.

Marys property was great! Very private overlooking and in walking distance to Lake Louise! Great outdoor space on front patio and back covered porch! Kitchen was well appointed with everything I needed to prepare meals, with condiments available for use. Beds were very comfortable and living space was cozy and also bright! Mary was a wonderful host who responded quickly when we had a 90 degree day in April and we couldn't get the A/C working. Overall, we would definitely stay here again! It felt like home!

We had a wonderful week-long stay at this peaceful place. The location is absolutely perfect just a short walk to the lake, with beautiful views and a serene atmosphere that made it easy to relax and unwind. The place itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our host was incredibly responsible and attentive, always quick to respond and thoughtful in making sure everything went smoothly. They left a welcome basket with snacks, so cool! It truly felt like a home away from home. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, cozy getaway near the water.

Beautiful spot right on the lake. Great community but still felt private. Could be updated a little bit, and furniture isn’t too comfortable, but spent most time outside near the lake anyway. Great hosts, will book again!

Great place to stay as always. Loved our trip!

Wow, just wow!! This place is even better than the photos. This place is the perfect place to rest and reboot in nature. Along with all of the things to do on the property, such as the trails and disc golf course, the house is just its own slice of Heaven. The garden area is private and the perfect space for mediating, reading or just listening to all the sounds of nature. We didn’t need music because the sound of rushing water and birds was soothing enough! The house is beautiful and clean, and the attention to detail is just something beyond words. If you have time, definitely read some of the Frank Lloyd Wright books scattered through the house, and it will make you appreciate the house all that much more. A good 20% of the trip was just admiring all of the nooks and crannies within the home, from the copper details, wooden bowls made by Kevin the owner, or the different structured wood beams, it all just makes the home it’s own piece of art. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

This gorgeous old home was so perfect for our family Christmas/New Year's getaway! We all fit so comfortably in the space, were in love with the views, and had a wonderful time exploring! There was tons to do in the nearby town, but it was also great to relax back at the home and on the amazing front porch. We would definitely recommend this lakehouse and would love to book it again in the future!

Great place in a great spot!

Amanda is a fantastic host: very responsive and helpful. For the good parts – the house was very clean. It had plenty of kitchen supplies, towel, towels, extra blankets, etc. There was plenty of sleeping space. Most of our group found the beds to be comfortable. The bathtub in the master bedroom was great! For the negatives- The kitchen was quite small and there was only one table for four people. There were some eating spaces downstairs and on the porches, so it still worked well for us- Amanda obviously put a lot of thought into making the space work as well as possible. The parking was difficult for multiple cars- we had to back in to make it work. I would say it is probably comfortable for three cars but we had more than that and also had some friends visit while we were there. This is an older house where you can hear noises from other floors but the sound machines did allow us to get a good nights sleep, even when the teenagers were being loud downstairs. Overall I recommend!

Enjoyed our stay. It was a rainy week that made our apartment a welcome haven. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

Everything was GREAT! Staying at Stanley’s place was as if I was in my own home. Stanley was very responsive and accommodating. I definitely recommend 10/10!
