Cabin holiday rentals in Lake Margrethe

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. So many things to do for everyone (2adults,2kids&the dog). We fished, relaxed in the hot tub, made s’mores in the fire pit. We played at the lodge on the cold rainy Friday, it was incredible (don’t forget to bring towels). The cabin was nicely located on top of a hill. You could see the water from the front yard and the few neighbors we saw were very friendly and welcoming. The kitchen was well stocked and the washer and dryer made things so easy for us to clean up. Doreen and John were very quick to get back to us with any questions. The little air conditioner and individual heaters were perfect for this time of the year. The lakes were beautiful and filled with fish. The boys had a blast. We can’t wait to come back when it’s a bit warmer. We will definitely use their place’s again, looking at one on the water for our next trip. 10/10

My husband spent two nights at this wonderful cabin and so enjoyed our time there! We ate at the boat house for lunch one day and walked the Wolf Creek Trailhead another, but other than that we enjoyed being at the cabin! The backyard was incredibly serene! We read and talked for hours around the bonfire until dark and then hit the hot tub both nights! What a wonderful space to get away and reconnect as a couple! I would absolutely suggest it as a couples get away! ❤️

This was the perfect location to explore Northern Michigan. It was so close to many places we wanted to visit. The resort itself had so many amenities. We loved the pools and the beautiful neighborhoods. I highly recommend it because it’s a peaceful landing spot after a day of exploring the breathtaking region.

This was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. The house is in a quiet area with easy parking and views and an easy walk to the bay. Check-in was simple, with Kate providing great instructions for the keypad to let ourselves in. The house was cozy with all amenities as described, and we felt right at home. All the Traverse City attractions were easy to get to, and Kate provided great recommendations. We had an awesome time and would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Wildwood Lodge! The property is on a barely traveled road and feels secluded (only one neighbor is visible but it does not impede on enjoying any of the hang out areas). The house was really well appointed with amenities (towels, kitchen gadgets/utensils) and was kept very clean. Loved the oversized couch to hang out on and then front porch for morning coffee. The small front fenced in area was perfect for our pups. We will definitely be back!

Such a peaceful place to stay. We enjoyed going out on the lake with the kayaks every morning. It is very close to a charming downtown Gaylord that has shopping and groceries close by. We had a great time.

Nice cabin in the woods. Hot tub works but could use a new control panel. Inside is what we expected and more. Comfy beds. two fire pits outside. if you have small kids like us be aware there is a steep drop around one side and partly behind the cabin thats pretty close to fire pit. If i decide to stay near baldwin or go hunting the state game area i will deffinitly be back here. not the cleanist place but for the price im not even gonna conplain. wasnt terrible but could have been dusted and swept up a little more. i just grabbed the broom in the bathroom and used the shark vaccum on arrival and when we left. its not nasty dirty so dont take me the wrong way. for the price conpared to similar cabins and what we got out of it i feel its worth it by a long shot. Shelby has great communication. Thank you!

We had a great weekend getaway at Jake’s place. Jake was a great host (very responsive and flexible). The home was filled with character and the location was excellent. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem—nestled in the woods, yet close to everything. The charming cabin was spotless, well-stocked, and its back wall of windows opened to an enchanted view. The serene river out back—with a dock, kayaks, and fire ring—made it feel like a private retreat. Our visit was part of a brief family reunion getaway with our two sons and daughter-in-law, and Emily was wonderfully responsive, warm, and accommodating. Though brief, our stay was incredibly relaxing—kayaking, sitting by the fire with s'mores (provided!), enjoying the outdoor shower, and sipping morning coffee on the deck while soaking in the calm. We truly didn't want to leave. Highly recommend this gem to anyone seeking comfort and nature in one perfect spot.

Our family loved the time we had at Todd’s cabin, it was exactly what we needed. The cabin is in a very peaceful, quiet setting. The beds were very comfortable, both adults and kids loved the jukebox and games, and being able to have a kitchen that was equipped with all the pots/utensils/things we needed was huge. It made cooking at the cabin for ourselves a breeze. Todd was a great communicator and we had no issues during our stay at all. Thanks again so much!

Stayed here for a golf trip with 8 buddies and it was the perfect fit. Everyone got their own bed and the space was big enough for anything we wanted to do. Krystle was extremely helpful and always replied quickly with any questions we had!

The cabin was perfect. So many useful amenities. Perfect for our family snowmobiling trip.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Yellow Door Lodge! The place is beautifully designed — cozy, stylish, and thoughtfully put together in every corner. It felt like a perfect home away from home. Rex was incredibly responsive and went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. His warm hospitality truly made a difference and added to the overall experience. Our dog, Puntu, had a great time too — it’s such a pet-friendly spot! He enjoyed exploring and relaxing just as much as we did. The lakeside area was a highlight. We spent some peaceful time there soaking in the view, and it added to the whole relaxing vibe of the trip. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-designed getaway with great hosts!

Really enjoyed staying at Aric's place in the woods. Plenty of privacy. The back deck with a built in fireplace was a nice touch. We would stay there again.

This stay was beautiful and perfect for what we were looking for! The cabin was spotless and gorgeous and the pull barn was a great add-on would definitely go back again! :) My husband and father and brother in law had a great time with access to the atv trails right from the property!!

We stayed the weekend for our anniversey and it was so peaceful! Loved all the views from inside the house. My husband loved being able to step outside and fish. Would definitely book again.

The cabin is very nice and very well equipped. Way more equipped than any other place we have stayed. The only complaint I could possibly point out would be the noisy expressway in the front yard. But I knew it was there when I made the reservation and it definitely wont keep me from staying there again!! And the host (Abigail) is very kind and responsive to questions.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I had a fantastic stay at Dawn Marie’s place! The property was exactly as described, very clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Check-in was smooth, and communication with the host was easy and quick. The space had everything I needed, including plenty of smart TVs and Wi-Fi, kitchen essentials, and a very comfortable beds. plenty of games provided I especially appreciated the coffee provide it was a great touch and made our mornings even better. The view of the water was perfect and truly added to the relaxing atmosphere. On top of that, the place is a smart home, which was really awesome to have it was super convenient and made everything feel modern and easy to use. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Harrison. Thank you, for a awesome experience

My husband rented this cabin for the month of May, to indulge his fly-fishing love. We live just 3 hours from site, so me driving to visit or hang for a week, was easy. I loved meeting our hosts and we enjoyed interesting conversation with them. May we meet again in the future! This is a beautiful, well-appointed cabin/apartment in a secluded location on the Au Sable River. Our hosts were friendly, warm and easy-going. They were a joy to be around when we would run into each other. Weather was iffy for the month: a lot of rain, cold and wind. Time would be spent tying flies or reading. The view from the balcony is the Au Sable River. This cabin offers a restful visit. If there is any inconvenience, it would be the 15 minute drive on a dirt road to get to pavement. So going into town for food, etc., might take half an hour. As noted, there is a long flight of stairs to get into cabin. Bathroom is large with a washer/dryer inside. The Queen mattresses and quality bedding were so comfy!

My husband and I enjoyed a week of blissful rest in this quiet and private cottage. We walked to the beach of Torch Lake and took photos of the sunset. We took the ferry to Mackinac Island and traveled by horse and buggy around the island. We enjoyed shopping in Alden and Bellaire, including Carters Candles and Brownwood Acres. We liked having a Keurig coffee maker and new cookware to make our meals. The large standard fridge, stove, deep farm sink, and washer/dryer gave us all the comforts of home. I highly recommend staying at one of Chip’s properties!

Such a great place to stay for memorial weekend stayed with familyvery clean cabin , great view , husband enjoyed fishing, otherwise we had great stay . Beds so comfortable and sheets are clean. When we needed something we contacted local host and she is helping right away. So glad what cabin is pet friendly so our dog can enjoy our vacation .
