My husband and I had such an incredible time at this beachfront Airbnb that we ended up extending our trip—honestly, we just didn’t want to leave so we extended our stay and extra day! The property offers stunning views of the ocean and provides direct access to the best beach in the area. Rosemary and Brian were fantastic hosts from the moment we arrived, greeting us warmly and ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Their thoughtful recommendations on local dining spots and nearby attractions really enhanced our experience. The location is perfect—there’s a fantastic fishery and a charming dairy just around the corner, so everything you could need is within easy reach. We truly had an unforgettable time and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this hidden gem at Cable Bay!

Such a beautiful place 🙌🏻— it went above and beyond our expectations. A perfect house for a weekend getaway together. It's the ideal spot to enjoy nature, close to beautiful beaches and other places worth visiting. The house is perfectly furnished; you have everything you need, and we even received some fresh eggs. Jim was a great host — friendly, absolutely welcoming, and full of local recommendations. We had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended! ☺️

This place was truly exceptional, one of the best stays we have ever had. Everything was exactly as described or even better. Check-in was smooth and simple, and the location is absolutely magical. The house is spacious, spotless, and beautifully furnished. The huge TV and incredibly comfortable sofa made relaxing in the evenings a real treat, and the kitchen is fully equipped with high quality appliances that made cooking a pleasure. The views from the property are absolutely breathtaking, and having the beach just down a few steps felt like a private paradise. Every detail has been thoughtfully arranged to make guests feel at home. We felt instantly relaxed and completely at peace here. This is a rare find, and we are so glad we discovered it. I cannot recommend this Airbnb highly enough, and we are already dreaming of coming back.

This place is fantastic - we were 2 couples staying for 2 nights as part of a trip to Cape Reinga. It is definitely the only place of its kind in this area, and we loved having a super modern yet cosy base for our road trip. It is fully equipped to cook meals, do laundry and have an evening in, and the beds and living area are very comfortable. Lindsay was a very communicative and friendly host, and we found it very easy to find and access. There’s a store and a restaurant close by so you don’t feel too secluded, but still benefit from the privacy and peace of being on a private lot with plenty of nature around. Rhys and Kas’s home exceeded every expectation we had. The view is truly beyond words—something you have to experience to believe. From sunrise to sunset, it felt like living in a postcard. The house itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The short walk to the beach was one of our favorite parts—just a few minutes through a gorgeous, peaceful trail that felt like a hidden gem. Our kids loved it, and we soaked in every moment as a family. Rhys and Kas were an exceptional hosts—kind, attentive, and incredibly responsive throughout our stay. This home offered us the perfect mix of comfort, beauty, and tranquility. We can’t recommend it enough and would come back in a heartbeat!

Absolutely lovely little cottage to stay for our two night stay. We enjoyed sitting on the back verandah and looking over the inlet. Enjoyed the heated floor and towel rack in the bathroom. A cosy lounge area with the most amazing book collection. Loved the kitchen and the Nespresso machine. A short walk or drive into town where you'll find the world famous Manganui Fish Shop and a handy supermarket. Also, had a great pizza at Jessies in the main street. Very picturesque little fishing village and would highly recommend. I would have liked to have found an information folder as was not sure what to do with the rubbish on our departure.

Satchya has created a private and beautiful oasis in the far north where such lodgings are few and far between! It was a privilege to stay in such a relaxing and thoughtfully set up accommodation and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. I hope to come back regularly and enjoy the peace and relaxation that this special spot offers. We took up the offer of a wonderful meal prepared for us and it was delivered by Satchaya and her husband with a quick friendly welcome and chat. We had the snapper with organic salad and it was delicious! There was muesli and fresh milk in the fridge for breakfast along with fresh seed bread and jam/butter. The fire was lit for our arrival as we were a bit later than expected and the heat from the fire is channeled through to the tent so everything was warm and cosy. The whole experience was just what we were hoping for and more. Thanks!
