Family-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Weir

My family was looking for a quiet weekend getaway and this lake house was the perfect place for us! The lake views from the living room were spectacular. The house was charming and comfortable. It had everything we needed and more! The peacocks roamed the yard throughout the day and were a pleasant sight to see. The dock was enjoyed by the whole family! We watched beautiful sunsets. My sons used the kayak. We fished for crappie and caught a few! We brought our small fishing boat and cruised around Lake Harris. We made our way to the famous Dora Canal. The boat launch is minutes away from the house. We walked to the delicious bakery a mile away for morning coffee and pastries. The host was so helpful and available to answer any questions we had. We enjoyed our stay at this charming and serene lake house!

I cannot possibly describe how wonderful this place is. Kennedy and Christina’s air bnb is the best I’ve ever stayed at. And I have been using Airbnb many years. The runway bay creates a space to heal, to laugh, to eat the MOST amazing food and enjoy life at a better level then most people can imagine let alone spaces accommodate. The camping is definitely glamping, real beds, great mostly bug proof tents, amazing additions free of charge like the yoga chalet, painting, pool, books, movies, fire pit, kayaks and more. Truly do yourself a big favor and stay at this magical place!

It was our first trip to Florida for a month. The place was everything it said and more. From the beautiful home, beautiful backyard with pool, hot tub and soaker tub I felt like I was at a spa. The backyard was so private. We had bikes to use and we did take advantage. We rode our bikes to the main square several times. Jennifer was very pleasant and friendly. She responded to my questions/ comments in a very efficient manner. I would recommend the place. Give a 5 star+++

We fish tournaments and frequently stay in BNB’s. This was hands down the best one yet. The host contacted me once we arrived and walked me through everything on the phone so we knew where everything was. We had an issue with no hot water, I contacted her and she had it fixed before we returned to the house the next day. She was very flexible on the check in/out procedure which made things easy for us. The house was great and we had a cover to back the boat under so it stay dry without having to put cover on it. We will definitely use the place again. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

We had an amazing time for our company annual celebration! It was the perfect venue to get all of our staff and "plus ones" together for fun and a mix of activities and relaxation. We enjoyed our stay. The unit was very clean and well equipped. The neighbors were friendly and the square was a short drive away. We unexpectedly needed to add 2 extra nights and communicating with Ruth was very easy. Her flexibility was also greatly appreciated.

My husband and I were in need of a quick getaway. We found Donna's place and knew this was exactly what we were looking for. It was in close proximity of Rainbow Springs (where we wanted to visit) and was pet friendly. The house was clean (all hardwood/tile flooring), spacious (open floor plan), nicely decorated, furniture in great condition & comfortable, fenced in yard for the pups, on the river, and had everything we needed! We enjoyed the quiet evenings out back on the deck & in the screened in porch and the pups loved exploring the yard. We cooked breakfast & lunch at the home and explored the town for dinner. We did not get to use the kayaks or bikes but loved that they were available. Donna answered all my questions and was very accommodating to my dates. I would definitely book this home again and recommend to others! Thank you!

Great location, super private, pet friendly would definitely rent again!! Went for my daughters birthday, location was minutes away from rainbow springs. Lots of outdoor space for the kids to play football and tons of area for the dogs to roam. Post was very responsive and very helpful. We would definitely return again!

The stay is quite nice, close enough to Clermont for most things, but far enough that it feels more rural. Outdoor area is spacious and the fire pit is great. The interior felt smaller than the pictures let on, but there's plenty of room to settle in and feel at home. The owners were very friendly, and in our lengthy stay, we had the opportunity to converse with them on various occasions as they maintained the outdoor space (our 9 y/o even got to help water a little, which he greatly enjoyed).

Donkey Song was right at home for us. Very Private and quiet. Great Location for our fishing vacation on Orange Lake. Plenty of room for Boat and trailer parking. Porch was the best. Dave was very responsive, A Great Host. Coming back next March. Thanks Dave from the Hall Family

We loved the location and being on the horse farm! The apartment was clean, communication was great and if you’re going to a wedding at Andalusian Oaks, it’s very close by.

We really enjoyed Ken and Marylee’s cottage, very cozy with comfortable beds and plenty of pillows and towels. The cottage is bigger than I expected. The location is excellent, private and only 12 min drive to Devils Den. The hosts were very sweet to let us check out late and even had continental breakfast waiting for us in the fridge. Great experience, would love to come back.

Our stay was very comfortable, just like we were in our own homes. The Lodge was so unique!! Hope to stay there again.

Susan and Jerry were outstanding hosts, they were responsive, proactive and always available to us! The home was perfect for our family of 6, our kids loved thier place and already want to go back. The home was clean, clutter free and well kept. Everything in the home works and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Susan and Jerry left us all the passes and information needed to navigate The Villages. We are beyond Blessed to have them as hosts and enjoyed thier property during our stay. We will definitely be Air BnB'ing with them for future visits to The Villages.

Really excellent place this. Has everything you need and probably more. Good bikes, Golf Cart, extensively equipped kitchen. Also great value for money. Will definitely return but likely yo be booked up. You need to move fast

Roy left us a binder at the house with perfectly detailed instructions. The house was immaculate. We had no questions and everything was perfect. We can’t wait to go back.

Loved staying in this home with my family including 2 small children . Unfortunately the pool was too cold to enjoy but the patio/pool area is very clean and beautiful. The home is fully equipped with everything you may need and more ! A lot of towels , self-care items and more ! Spacious and clean ! Highly recommend 5/5 stars! Would definitely stay again when the weather is warmer to enjoy the pool with the kids !

Michaels place is located just a 6 minute cart ride away. The Recreation center and adult pool are well within walking distance. All of the neighbors are very friendly.

this family is beyond accommodating. I don't typically do airbnbs with the in home post this was the first for me. They are very accommodating and welcoming. They made me feel right at home and like part of the family. Their home is clean and very well decorated. If I am ever in the area again I would stay there without hesitation. They do have dogs which for me was great. But if you are uncomfortable with them I am sure they would make sure that you do not have to interact with them. But for me the dogs made it feel more like home. I cannot say enough nice things about this family and how accommodating and friendly they are. If you're unsure about staying with an in home host I would urge you to stay with this family. You won't regret it. Just like their ad says you will be staying with friends you just haven't met yet. Cannot recommend this location enough.
