Margate Farm Hideaway

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. A unique wheel chair accessible Sheperds hut set within a farm with woodland views and wildlife galore. Within easy reach of two cycle tracks, woods and a National Trust Park. A selection of beaches are around 20+ minute drive away. Local attractions include Eden project, Adrenaline Quarry, Camel Creek, Trethorne Leisure Farm and many more. We’re a five minute drive from Lanhydrock golf club and the town with shops, supermarkets and a Cinema.

The Barn

The Barn is a perfect escape for a couple. A spacious open-plan barn with kitchen and living room, flagstone floor and underfloor air-source heating and an overhead sleeping platform. Stylish self-contained shower room. Large library of books and collection of board games and extensive gardens and grounds. Walking distance to the coast through leafy Cornish lanes - the south west coast path is 1 mile away. Bringing a Dog? Please get in touch when booking. After approval, pet fee applies (£45)

Piggywidden, Lidcutt Farm, PL30 5BD

Lidcutt is a working farm in the middle of no-where but close to all the places you might want to visit. Piggywidden is a cozy converted barn with a double and single bedroom and unique features. There is an outside seating area with a picnic bench overlooking a field with pet sheep, alpacas and wildlife. There is a spare single mattress under the single bed which can turn the single bedroom into a snug twin if required. Due to being situated on a working farm we are unable to accept pets.

Converted barn, Cornwall

The Cottage is a converted barn, previously part of the Lanhydrock Estate. We live in The Farmhouse, Colesloggett. The properties sit in 9.8 acres with direct access to the A38 and A30. North and south coasts are 20 minutes’ drive. Whether you are looking for a quiet rural retreat, a walking, cycling, beach holiday or to see wildlife the barn has it all. It is unique that on the drive there is the Colesloggett Halt for the Bodmin and Wenford steam train. Cardinham woods are 5 minutes’ walk.

Tucked away in the Cornish countryside, nestled within the historic Lanhydrock Estate on our working farm, our hut offers a peaceful retreat with truly unrivalled views across South Cornwall, all the way to the sea. Manor House is grade II listed, set amongst an array of historic buildings at Botelet Farm, with a large private garden to the rear and views reaching across rolling fields and up to Bury Down iron age hill fort. Nestled in a valley in South East Cornwall, staying at Manor offers the chance for a peaceful escape with 300 acres to explore, safe spaces for children to play, chickens wandering free range outside, a trampoline in the orchard, and therapeutic massage and wellbeing workshops.
