We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

Pasiphae House was something out of a dream! It was beautifully designed in the traditional Crete Village homes style. The location is isolate in the mountains, but amongst a great community of people. We were greeted by Yianna and Koula that gave us the walk through of the house, and we're always in constant communication. Ioanna supplied us with a long list of things to do and try in the area which we took full advantage of. Overall it was a beautiful stay and would highly recommend.

Everything is very well maintained - the location within walking distance of the beach is unbeatable. Friendly welcome from the hostess, highly recommended!

We had a great time at Pinelopi's relaxing apartment by the beach! She gave us lots of great suggestions of places to visit and was very kinda and friendly. There are lots of great beaches nearby. We enjoyed meeting Toby the dog and having Sissi the cat hang out with us each morning. thank you again!

We spent a peaceful week in Sifis's house. The house, nestled among olive trees and overlooking Sitia and the sea, is as shown in the photos. It is very comfortable and perfectly equipped. We received a warm welcome, including a delicious homemade cake and raki. While a car is essential, it allows you to reach the beaches and hiking spots in the eastern part in reasonable time (1 hour max). Supermarkets are a 10-minute drive away and the road is easy to navigate on this section. Communication with Pantelis and Despina was particularly smooth. Their recommendations and the personalized map with places of interest were very helpful. A more than successful stay if you want to experience authentic Crete, far from the tourist crowds.

We can only agree with the many positive reviews. We had a great time in the beautiful mountain village – it was a special experience. Every morning we had breakfast on the roof terrace and enjoyed the tranquility. At first we thought the sea would be missing, but that wasn't the case at all. We really came to rest – walks in the area were enough for that. Actually, we planned to do more, but we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere so much that we took it easy. Nevertheless, we were traveling by car and made some nice excursions, including to the coast, where we discovered great restaurants. A vacation that will stay with us in very good memory. As a couple staying here, we can recommend for a quiet and relaxing stay. Everything is as advertised: simple but clean. The terrace offers privacy and is surrounded by olive trees. Restaurants are on walking distance, as is the beach (20 min) if you can cope with the steep hill. As almost everywhere in Crete, a car comes in handy for any other trips.

Excellent villa with everything you could need and a very responsive host. Just to mention the hill leading to the villa is very steep. But otherwise incredible holiday. Thank you

We loved staying at Petros's place. The location is picture perfect and completely serene, coupled with the stunning views - perfect getaway gem. The villa is beautifully designed with lots of places to explore and hang out in. Petros is very accommodating and all around helpful from assisting us in setting up the outdoor speakers to offering to make restaurant reservations on our behalf. We had an absolutely amazing time and hope to stay at the villa again when we come back to Crete. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place to be. Vacation away from tourism in the Cretan mountains. We especially enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and the pool. In September, however, it is already much cooler on the mountain than on the coast. Since a car is absolutely necessary anyway, we were able to switch to the beaches on windy or cloudy days. Konstantinos gave us great tips on request and we were offered free cleaning 2x. Clear recommendation!

Beautiful villa inside and out - loved every minute of our stay there. It's an excellent location for lovely village of Mochlos and there's a bay where you can swim to left of harbour. Marilou was always on hand with any recommendations etc we needed. Only negative is we didn't realise that the bedroom with its own entrance is actually in a basement so very little natural light. Didn't bother us but does mean you don't see the beautiful views. Can imagine it keeps cooler in peak summer though.

Beautiful apartment with the kindest host. Vivi made us feel at home from the first minute. On top of that she has a amazing restaurant with the most delicious and authentic Crete food

We had an amazing time at Katerina's place. Katerina was a wonderful host, very helpful and responsive, always eager to help and share some recommendations. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The pool was very nice and pleasant to relax at. Katerina's place is only a few minutes away from nice beaches and a town called Agios Nikolaos where you can find a lot of good restaurants and shops. The area is very calm, but would definitely recommend having a car - there are not a lot of places in a walkable distance. Overall we had a great time and were sad to leave. We hope to come back one day.

The apartment is very nice, modern, clean and well furnished. There are all things you need, like an iron, hair dryer or washing machine. There is an oven. The bathroom is very well equipped. 10 minutes walk to the city center. 5 minutes drive to the shop. Driving here for the first time can be difficult because of the roads, so the first time I recommend being there before sunset to see everything clearly.

This might be the nicest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. It almost felt like a shame to leave it to visit the beaches and restaurants that Manos and Sofi had recommended. There were just two of us but the house would be greatly suited to bigger groups. I would love to return again one day.

The place was perfect: very clean, well located and with air conditioning! The host is kind and his instructions and recommendations helped us a lot. I would highly recommend it! 😊

This place is the best place to stay, quite and private, outdoor patio for enjoy cafe or beer but close to great public beach with free parking or waking 20 minutes, same time remote spot to go anywhere and not staying in crazy busy city where is night live and traffic like crazy. 9 minutes to Agios Nikolas if you like that , 1.5 h to Vai beach where Palm trees like in tropical place, 30 minutes to Iropetra and Myrtos on African side on island, beautiful. 30 minutes to 4000 years olive tree and waterfall canyon.

Of all my trips to Greece, this was the first place I stayed where I just had to sit on the balcon and relax. Wat a wonderful view! The place where the house is located is calm and surrounded only by Greek nature. What we could want more? Dimitrios and his wife are very welcoming. Fantastic stay at this wonderful village house in beautiful peaceful Milatos, we cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough, exactly as pictured and described , host was amazing as was the delicious meal she left for our first night! Great amenities within house too. Great location to drive through mountains to elounda and agios Nikoliaos , we went straight south to beaches there too. All the restaurants on the front were amazing bar with no name fab through to Socrates so friendly and cheap €45 for two with wine . Old neighbour we sat and had a beer with although dialect was limited. Thank you again we will be back and telling everyone to come 🥰

We spent 5 days in Cora's beautiful accommodation and can recommend it 100%. Everything looks exactly like the photos, very tasteful, clean and cozy. From the balcony you have a wonderful view of the valley, directly behind the house the hike through the Kritsa gorge begins and the village itself is charming and has all sorts of things (arts and crafts) to offer. During our stay, we had two concerns that we addressed with Cora. She was immediately available, super friendly and helpful. We will be happy to come back.
