Barn accommodation in Latin America

We had such a great time! I lived in Germany for a short bit many years ago and this sweet cozy house reminded me of the experience. It was fun to look around at all the decor from Germany. It was nice and quiet, and just a short uber ride from town. We loved the surprise German pastries put in our room and appreciated the bottled water that we forgot to bring with us! Thank you for being such a lovely host. We’d totally visit again.

The pictures do not do this place justice! It was so much better in person and that is saying a lot. Incredible dark skies in the evening, serene surroundings, and so intimate. Bernice was an absolute joy and her breakfasts rivaled the best 5 star establishments in all of Fredricksburg! This will be our go to stop!

If you’re looking to unplug and escape to the country while still being 15 minutes from any luxury or necessity, this is your place to stay. A lake is in the backyard, so amazing to sit on the porch and look at, or even take walks around! The property is quiet and peaceful and feels so safe. No need to fuss with locking the doors unless you really want to. You’re far into the property and NOBODY can access you because the gate is only openable with a code. You get every benefit of escaping to the country while still being able to access fun activities in town and loads of restaurants. It’s perfect. And there’s plenty room in this little house. It was just two of us but I feel like 2 couples could share this place easy. Thank you for an incredible time away, we can’t wait to come back!

Loved feeding the horses. Lots of towels and linens. Rick was super sweet and met us when we got there.

This was my third time to stay at Big D Bunkhouse. Always clean, always comfortable. Beautiful surroundings. Perfect for what we needed. Wish the bass pond had more water, but you can't control mother nature. Thanks DeLynn for another wonderful stay.

The Hobbit House was as much a forest inside, as out! A completely unique setting and structure with every detail thought through. We lacked nothing and enjoyed everything. The waterfall was such a nice bonus and the wildlife was evident all around us. We saw a bobcat in the woods. Butterflies were constant companions. Birds a-plenty. Truly a magical retreat!

This getaway is apeaceful oasis that gives the vibe of isolated farm life but it's really minutes away from you name it - shopping, hikes, fishing, the ocean, fantastic restaurants, thrifting galore and antique stores. The opportunities to treasure nature are at your fingertips and we are already making plans to come back!

Spent a nice getaway weekend with my girlfriend and proposed to her on this trip. The area is nice and peaceful with an amazing view of the countryside. We love animals so seeing the horses near the barn was so nice. Inside was very clean and had a cozy vibe to it. 10/10 Would love to come back again. - Juan & Yolanda

Nice, quiet get away! Loved its location, not to far from town, but in country where you can relax. Super clean and very cute. Loved watching the sheep as well, and they didn’t bother our dogs! Will be back!

Our daughter’s bridesmaids stayed here for a wedding nearby. It was perfect! The outside was pristine and the inside was adorable! The hosts were so sweet and helped make our weekend amazing!

Amazing!! That sums it up. Sandi and Stephen are wonderful people and Amazing hosts. The accommodations were exactly as described and Sandi and Stephen responded quickly with every question we had. We have been recommending thier place to our friends and are already planning our next stay.

We used the Smokies Times Barnhouse for a getaway for my wife's birthday. Beautiful surroundings and great location! It's close enough to Fredericksburg to run in for for restaurant meals and far enough away to enjoy the beautiful countryside and relax in the hot tub in the evenings. Great host! Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Red Sky Ranch was an absolute dream! We stayed as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids under 5. We also got to bring along our dog as the place is pet friendly and she loved roaming around the property and exploring with us. The house is gorgeous, the property is peaceful and private, and everything was in tip top shape. Jeff was readily available for any questions and provided us with some wonderful restaurant and activity recommendations. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay, look no further!

Perfect spot to truly relax, slow your pace and connect with nature and each other! The property and amenities were just as described. Christine and her family are very friendly yet respectful of your privacy, making the place feel like home. We took long walks in the mornings, enjoyed the pool during the day and had great meals at every spot Christine recommended. Fabulous sunsets with a glass of wine to end the day taking in the beautiful surroundings. Thank you so much for your hospitality! We will be back!

It was a great stay and we had a ton of fun meeting all the animals!!

A perfect spot for a large group get away. Plenty of space inside for sleeping arrangements, seating and eating. Outdoor space on 2 levels of deck. Large yard with lake access for fishing. Plenty of parking. House is at the end of a quiet street, very secluded. There are 3 bedrooms and the long dining table downstairs. The 2 bunk rooms, kitchen and smaller dining table upstairs. We would definitely recommend, especially for a larger group that wants to stay together. Hosts were very responsive and helpful.

The very private two (2) bedroom guest suite with one bath & TVs in each room was exactly as shown. Very clean, attractive and comfortable. Similar to interior hotel rooms with no living room but had a hallway, mini kitchen, coffee island and car parking in the garage. Mini fridge located in one bedroom with full size fridge and washer & dryer in garage. Overall, a very good fit for our needs with short 1 mile drive to get on 275 to our visiting destinations. Would rent again.

Karon is a wonderful host! We have stayed at Reata Ranch several times, and the house and hospitality is excellent every time. We enjoy seeing the upgrades with every visit. This time it was more rockers on the front porch and a new rock sidewalk. We will definitely stay again! Karon is the best!

We really lucked up by finding this place! We’ve always wanted to stay in a barn and this was the perfect place to knock that off of our bucket list! The hosts were absolutely incredible and so friendly! Rick greeted us at check in and he and Christie were very communicative throughout the whole stay. Everything was spot on from the pictures and this was just the perfect spot to spend our first night as an engaged couple with our little family. 10/10 would recommend and visit again!

Dalton’s property is a gem. It was the most picturesque cottage just like in the pictures and has the surroundings. We enjoyed biking and saying hello to the horses on the nearby farm, watching cows graze lazily and laughing with the energetic dog who was eager to match our pace from the other side of a neighboring fence. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable and the decor was gracefully done. One thing to note is there is no central heating here. We loved the proximity to the gulf coast and enjoyed beach hopping from biloxi to Bay st Louis. New Orleans was just over an hour away and the nearest beach was just a little over 20 minutes away. The restaurants in biloxi, Diamondhead and Bay st Louis deserve special mention. We did have a small leak in the faucet during our stay but Dalton came and fixed it as soon as he could. Overall I think this is a fantastic location and Dalton has done a great job making it a special place to create memories.

Carol went above and beyond to make our stay as good as it could be. We arrived to a fully stocked kitchen, loads of yummy snacks and everything we could possibly need. I told Carol when we met her that I’d challenged myself to find something that wasn’t already in the tiny house, I failed! The tiny house itself is awesome, it has loads of storage, full size shower, comfy bed and has high ceilings / is light and airy. It has a beautiful private porch right next to the stables which was fantastic during the cool evenings. Carol was the nicest person you could hope to meet. We had long chats exchanging stories and above all else Carol arranged for us to spend some time with her and her horse trainer to learn how it’s done in Texas and later Carol gave us a beginners lesson to riding which was one of the highlights of our trip to the US.
