The River Den is a 4 season houseboat, docked in picturesque Wakefield, Qc on the Gatineau River. This dream boat is a floating tiny house which does not have hot water, electricity, or a fridge (we do supply a cooler). There's a cozy woodstove, cooking facilities and dry composting toilet on board.
“Bonnie was super warm, friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. She gave us an early check in time, which was a huge bonus!!! She was also helpful & informative on where to find everything we needed in the River Den. We were provided with a cooler, ice and a ample fresh spring water. The property itself was super cozy, inviting and had everything we could possibly need. We were quite happy to relax on the attached floating deck, do some fishing and also went for a refreshing swim. Note that there is a small beach about 3 min walk away that we checked out. We also went into the town of Wakefield (only a 5 min drive), for a walk to the covered bridge and to check out the various eclectic shops, cafes & restaurants. We will most definitely be returning and will be recommending this property to our family and friends. Thanks so much for sharing your property with us Bonnie, it was an amazing experience!!!”
Needing social distancing , or just a change of scenery? Do yourself some good and get up into nature and some fresh mountain air. Beautiful waterfront chalet on 2 acres of private wooded property. Located in the gorgeous countryside of Harrington. Just one hour from both Montreal and Ottawa.
“Beautiful cottage. I enjoyed how secluded this place was. The lake, the hot tub, the bbq and outside terasse were perfect for our little group of four. The home has everything you need. The wifi isn’t great and there’s no signal, but given we were going there to unwind we didn’t mind. The host were very fast to respond to any questions we had and were very nice. I definitely recommend as a little getaway with friends/family.”
