You get the feeling of being "alone in the whole world" despite 7 minutes to Fagernes town. Mindfulness. About 2.5 hours drive towards Valdres from Oslo. There is electricity and wood burning. There is one bedroom and a living room with a sofa bed, dining room and bathroom with shower. There is a bio toilet inside the bathroom. Must walk 40 meters from the parking space to the cabin. Wild, beautiful and steep! Cottage with stunning views. Great natural surroundings with great hiking opportunities. Høgestølen is located about 25 min. from Hemsedal center (alpine center), 15 min. to grocery store, and about 5 min. to a network of cross country trails. The cottage is heated with electricity and firewood, heating cables in the bathroom and combined washer/dryer .The cottage is steep to the east! Car way to the door, possible to park right outside. Here you can experience total silence. In the summer there will be cows and sheep in the area.

Here you live peacefully by Strandafjorden, with a short distance to Ål city center, hiking trails and ski trails. No electricity or running water – but everything you need for a real and atmospheric cottage experience. Perfect for couples, friends and families who want to relax and enjoy nature. In winter, a ski slope is made in and past the cabin – parking is then 1 km from the cabin.

Unique and comfortable accommodation with a pleasant view

Our newly built "sleeping box" is designed and built by the award-winning architects in OPAFORM, Espen Folgerø and Marina Bauer, and is located on the 2nd floor in a timber grain barn from 1850 with an airy view of Strandavatnet. The box has a 1.80 double bed, but an extra mattress or crib can be added if needed. In the barn located in the building next door there is a built-in kitchen, bathroom and toilet. We offer a large double bed (king size). In addition, we can add an extra bed and/or crib if needed.

Cozy cabin built with traditional architecture from the «Hallingdal» area. Excellent sun conditions, outdoor and indoor fire place, sauna, great montain view and a hand-crafted log annex. A great place for winter and summer activities: Cross country slopes and sleding hill just outside the door, ski lifts 10 min away, cycling and hiking routes, nearby mountain farms, swim in rivers, canoo available, etc. Eating chair, changing table and sleeping bed for babies/small children available.

Charming farmhouse by the river, Gol, Hallingdal

Behind the house (20 metres) you'll find the river Hallingdalselva, where you can fish for trouts. You may borrow a canoe or a small rowing boat. Koselig kårstue på gård. Huset er bygget i 1905 og har interiør fra århundreskiftet til ca 1970. Store, lyse og luftige soverom i 2.etasje. Kjøkken og stue med vedovn og kamin i 1.etasje. Huset ligger like ved Hallingdalselva med flotte bade- og fiskemuligheter. Du kan låne robåt eller kanoer. Vi snakker norsk, engelsk og spansk.

Located at 930 meters above sea level, the ski conditions are guaranteed in winter, but there are also plenty of activities and swimming opportunities in summer. Well suited for families with children of all ages. Winter road up to the cabin, and ski in ski out (cross-country skiing).
