Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Lilongwe

One word: Fabulous! If you’re lucky to find it for your dates, grab it! We use Airbnb for all our travels; this property is amongst the best we have had. The highlight for us is the lovely large lounge which opens onto a veranda, with outdoor sofas & a separate outdoor dining area, facing a beautiful garden with a perfectly maintained lawn & flowers. The Rooms are large & comfy with loads of storage & a nice dining room & kitchen perfectly laid & kitted out. Lorraine was always very helpful & timely in her instant responses & availability :) According to our research, Area 10 is one of the safest, being a location favoured by diplomats. The bungalow has a remote controlled security gate. Despite the ongoing roadworks all over the city, we were still able to drive to various places with little trouble. We are sure the new road system will make travel in a city we didn’t realise we would end up liking so much. When we return we hope we will be able to have ALANA HOUSE - a gem 💎

Marjan 's place is like a little island of heaven in Lilongwe. The house is so welcoming, and the staff too. It gives you a feeling of being at home. You can walk to old town in less than 20 minutes and if you need to travel by bus outside Lilongwe it's not far from bus companies. The garden add a special touch of rest and peace.

Sera was a superb host with a dedicated staff to make our stay feel comfortable. She quickly dealt with any of our concerns and made us very welcome. The guest house felt like home after just a few days and we settled in rather quickly, the beautiful compound was just the respite we needed from the busy city.

The house is beautiful, cosy and comfortable. The rooms are clean, spacious and some even with air-cons. The big kitchen is fully-equipped and there's plenty of fridge and freezer space. The pool is just perfect for hot days and relaxing. Ines the housekeeper is friendly and helpful, really made us feel like at home as did all the other staff too. Security is top-notch. Excellent place for short or long term stays in Lilongwe. The location is perfect since it's on the quiet side of town, away from all the dusty roadworks, but still close enough from Gateway Mall and other shopping places. Will definitely come again when visiting Mzuzu and highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfy stay in Lilongwe.

Great environment and nice grounds. It is close to the city but feels peaceful and far off. Really clean and nicely set up family houses.

Lovely new building. Furnishings are lovely. Some finer details need to be worked on, but overall a very nice unit. I believe this is a newer area and therefore the distance, lack of presence of other community members, and unstable wifi left my family in the need for a different rental. The owner, and what seemed to be the management team, went above and beyond to accommodate our many very last minute requests.

My stay at Becca’s place was lovely. The home was decorated nicely, very clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Becca was a wonderful host, and her property manager, Yusuf, was so kind and helpful throughout my visit. He made sure I had everything I needed and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The location was quiet but close to everything. I would recommend staying here.

Vincent is a great host. The place is super tidy, their communication is transparent, and their general ambiance is quiet & peaceful. Definitely my go-to place.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy guesthouse. The location was perfect for spending time in the city and exploring the surrounding area. Having your own vehicle makes it easier. The secure compound, filled with beautiful plants and trees, added to the charm and provided a peaceful atmosphere. The kitchen was great for cooking our own meals, and the overall quietness of the property made it a great place to relax. Communication with the hosts was smooth and prompt, even though we didn’t get the chance to meet them. I would happily stay here again and confidently recommend it to other travelers, whether for a short or longer stay.

Fabulous hostess and very accommodating, she informed me that she had changed the lication and offered money back, in exchange I accepted being hosted at her place in Area 3, very close to many great amenities, Area 3 is a wonderful ruch area that should be explored further and has some great hangouts, local market, and wonderful people. Daniela (Chikondi) also has help (Estee) who is a great cook and who keeps the house tidy and clean all week. Place was super clean and I got to enjoy great conversation with Daniela (she taught me several Malawian dishes and iffered to teach me Chichewa!). She is mindful and respectful of the personal space, provided great tips and even went completely out if her way to make my stay in Lilongwe memorable. Highly recommend for those looking for a homely feeling and experience ❤

Everything was as described and worked well. The people there were very friendly and helpful. For our budget 50$ per night is a lot, but we can still recommend it, since it seems fair.
