We stayed 7 nights at Danielle’s gorgeous home and loved it. The property is private and stunningly beautiful. With a huge variety of trees, including mango, the diversity of birds is wonderful. While in the house, the view out every window is so colorful and Danielle’s sense of design in the home reflects that. The 2 bedrooms are very comfortable with perfect air flow thru the windows and overhead fans allowing for perfect sleeping conditions. The large stone lined shower is fantastic and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need. We also loved the location of the house. Close to Nuevo Arenal with it’s great restaurants and right where you need to be to start your drive towards Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna activities. Danielle is also the perfect host. Checking in to make sure everything is going well and super responsive with any questions you might have. We will definitely plan to stay here in the future.

This Airbnb was absolutely beautiful. We came to La Fortuna for an adventurous trip surrounded by nature and peace and that’s exactly what we got. The home was spacious, clean and exactly as described and photographed. The jacuzzi was amazing to have, especially after a day of hiking, horseback riding and ATVs! The staff at the restaurant and bar across the property were absolutely amazing and Alonso was a pleasure to meet and rent from. He gave so many recommendations for activities, restaurants and ways to book them all, you won’t be bored! We will absolutely book with Alonso again when we come back to La Fortuna. Thank you!

My family of 3 (with a small toddler) loved this house! We had to be a little extra careful with our new walker as there are some baby-level risks but they provide a pack and play which is wonderful. The house is clean, cozy, super comfortable, and obviously well taken care of. With windows and sliding doors open it truly stays cool enough without the AC. We used the pool a couple of times which also has a beautiful view. We loved listening to and watching all the countless birds, some of which had just incredible birdsong. We adored Nuevo Arenal which is 15 minutes away and is such a cute little town. It was a wonderful stay all in all, so happy we found this house.

The home is as described and almost new. The pool area was a highlight although we had a difficult time working the controls for the spa so more detailed instructions in English would have been beneficial. The kitchen was very well equipped, better than any we have experienced previously. Nice place we would stay again.

I visited La Fortuna, Costa Rica for my birthday get away and this location was perfect. I was wowed with this location. Exactly what I was looking for me and my family to stay at. It was a short drive to into town where there are so many amazing shops, restaurants, cafe and bakery places to visit. I had a great time staying at Xavier's home. It was comfortable from the time I entered the home. There was one time that we lost power but the power outage was resolved within an hour and half. It was a rainstorm that took out the power. But other than that our entire stay was a 10/10! I will coming back to this location again in a heart beat.

Kathleen’s place was exactly what we needed on our vacation. Away from the crowds but close enough to all the restaurants and local attractions. It was great to have our own pool and hot tub to soak in after a day of activities. We felt safe and comfortable. The outside kitchen was a good common area as the 2 rooms are completely separate from each other. It would have been nice to have pool towels and a washer/dryer BUT not deal breakers. Definitely a place to come back to if we visit la Fortuna again. There is a little restaurant about 700ft to the right when walking out the gates on the left hand side, recommend visiting this place. This place was absolutely magical! The pictures don’t even do it justice. The views were incredible any time of day from bed or from the outdoor spaces. We saw toucans and so many other beautiful birds. Also highly recommend the massages in the recommendation book, they came to the Airbnb and it was such a relaxing experience. Augustin was the one who helped us check in and set up our massages and he was so kind and so responsive. You definitely need a 4WD vehicle to get up, but overall not too bad of a drive. I would highly recommend this spot and would love to go back one day.

We loved the place, it was just like the photos. Everything was very clean and organized, and it also has a private entrance. My favorite place was the porch / balcony. I love nature and I loved having my cup of coffee while looking at nature. Very quiet, there is a lot to do in the surroundings, we did a lot of activities and we had a great time. Katherine was very kind and cordial. She washed our clothes and left them very clean and folded, something that almost nobody offers. We are very grateful to you for being so kind. We recommend it 200%.

I cannot say enough about the support offered by Home Vacations - especially Mario - in helping me plan and organize our activities for our visit. He helped with tours, drivers, and insight into tour options. The home was lovely! It was perfect for our very large group of teens and adults. Guisel was always on hand and available to happily answer any questions we had. (In Spanish!). Not only would I recommend this particular listing, I would absolutely go back and stay here again. It's not just a home away from home, it's a home with help!

Beautiful estate with ample room for my group of 14 and then some! Beautiful deck with spectacular views for morning and sunset yoga practice, chefs kitchen with everything our private chef needed! Very clean with comfy beds. Responsive host with onsite coordinator that helped troubleshoot any issues and problems.

We were two families with teenage kids and really enjoyed the sleeping arrangements and that each adult couple and sets of kids had their own bungalow. The area was peaceful and just outside of town but quick and easy drive/ride into town (no problem Ubering to town). It’s a very authentic accommodations but still had AC and full kitchen. The owner was very helpful and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Rafael’s place had air conditioning in the bedrooms that worked great! The rest of the house did not have AC but the house cool down at night and A/C was not needed. Great big kitchen table for hanging out. No living room, however it does have chairs on an outside deck that can be used as a living room. House is located behind a restaurant so you can smell the restaurant food cooking while you are on the deck and in the kitchen area of house. House was reasonably priced and in a great location. It is perfect for 4 friends who want 4 separate bedrooms. It is right in town, lots of food and drink available. Rafael was very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful place in a secure gated community!

Our group of 8 adults and 2 teenagers stayed at Allan & Jorge’s villa, and it exceeded all our expectations. The villa offered the perfect balance of privacy and a shared space, ideal for our group. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, and communication with our hosts was seamless. We especially appreciated the thoughtful welcome gift of fruit and drinks. Thank you, Allan & Jorge!

Absolutely stunning stay! The host was incredibly responsive and gave us a full tour upon arrival. He was also very flexible as our arrival time changed due to traffic and flights. The pictures don’t do the property justice—it’s immaculate, peaceful, and beautifully designed with thoughtful details throughout. You’re fully immersed in the rainforest with the sounds of wildlife and even a family of sloths on site! There are so many areas to relax and enjoy nature. The on-site staff was attentive and helpful with anything we needed. Even though there are a few other homes on the property, it still felt very private and secluded. Perfect for both small and large groups, with the option to rent the entire estate. Highly recommend and would love to return! Thank you, Andy!

This place is incredible! The pictures don’t do it justice. Walking up to views of the Arenal Volcano while drinking coffee on the lovely front porch was a highlight. Alfonso’s place is spacious and very clean with everything you need for your stay. The outdoor shower was unique and a nice added touch to the property! There are several great restaurants in walking distance as well. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing place to stay with friends or family and close to La Fortuna downtown and the El Salto rope swing. Great backyard with grill and pool that is covered from the rain.

Stayed there with a very large family group including children, infants, and toddlers. Host was helpful and gracious with check-in and stayed in touch throughout our stay to make sure everything was fine. The space fit our group great. The pool was a hit with the youngsters. It was an easy walk to downtown La Fortuna whenever anyone wanted to get out. Just what we needed.

Great spot in a quiet neighborhood, close to the supermarket and restaurants. We walked to the Red Frog several times for coffee and meals. 20 min drive to Arenal Park and Mystico. Great touches around the home. Would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay at Sunset House! Randall was very responsive to all of our questions. The kitchen was well stocked for the nights we decided to cook in. The location was convenient- close to restaurants and a lot of the attractions. We even saw sloths on our walk around the property! The only hiccup that we had was unlocking the door from the inside, as the lock is a bit sticky

Joshua's place is the perfect spot to make a pit stop for a couple of nights. The house is very clean and comfortable and has a gorgeous view of the volcano at sunset. The washing machine was a little tricky to figure out but we got there in the end. You definitely need a car for getting into La Fortuna, but the neighbourhood around the house is really beautiful and interesting, and definitely worth seeing in addition to the bustle of La Fortuna. Overall, really good value for money.

Had a great vacation at this beautiful home, we are a family of 5 with 3 girls (15, 13, and 11). The kids loved having their own room and bathroom. The "kids room" is located in the back corner of the property with the pool in-between the main guest house and the kids room, worked out great for us. We loved the open air outdoor kitchen. House is nicely removed from La Fortuna but the main guest house does back to the road and can hear the traffic, while light, in the evenings and morning while sleeping, not a big issue. We spent our days exploring the area, loved the food at Jalapas, La Fortuna waterfall, rope swing, ATV and Hot Spring combo excursion (La Finca Lodge, check it out! Only 12 people at the hot spring), and Judah set us up on a white water rafting trip that was a blast! Pool was bigger than expected and enjoyed while we were on the property. Used the propane grill and outdoor burners. Beds comfortable. The grounds are very well kept and have a very nice walking path.

We enjoyed our stay at Brayan’s place. He was very hospitable, it was located near many fun activities, the view was beautiful, and the kids loved the pool! We’d definitely recommend!
