What a stunning location and such a beautiful apartment! Windermere, Kendal, Ambleside and other main towns are a lovely drive, and the shops and pub in Orton are just down the road. Tom’s apartment was clean, comfortable and fully equipped for self-catering which was fabulous. The grounds are stunning, and we loved every moment. Thanks Tom xx

The Studio, a stunning rural retreat for two.

HannahRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Thank you for having us! We had a lovely 3 night stay at the studio, it was welcoming, cosy and relaxing. Lovely welcoming gift of home baked brownies upon arrival, they were delicious and welcomed after a 6 hour car journey. Rebecca was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Great location, approx a 1h journey to the lakes and beautiful surrounding scenery. Would highly recommend this beautiful space!

Valley Cottage on the River Eden

MarkRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was a highlight of our trip having toured through the US and UK. A beautiful and idyllic location with most amazing views. The cottage was stunning with lots of room, well-appointed and a great atmosphere. The instruction book was clear and detailed. Beds were extremely comfortable. The gift of wine and gingerbread cake was very thoughtful and well received. The fireplace created the perfect atmosphere. Proximity to the local village was ideal with lots of good eating places. We loved the walks through the viaducts. Took a day trip to Windermere which was fantastic. Would certainly recommend a boat trip on the lake. This Airbnb was outstanding, and we hope to return some day.

Stunning views nr Lake District, spacious & snug

SarahRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What an absolutely stunning location! We wanted a relaxing break and this is exactly what we got. Vicki and Tom have created something really special. The Hayloft is small yet had everything we needed for a family of 5. There were plenty of books and games to enjoy. Vicki greeted us at the door, making us feel welcome and had left us some homemade treats. The kids had a blast, exploring the grounds, playing on the trampoline and climbing the nearby hill to catch a glimpse of the fighter jets flying overhead. There was a lovely walk to the river and you can roam freely over the fields. We enjoyed watching the sheep and horses roam and also saw deer, rabbits, frogs and kestrels. The house has a view of the Settle-Carlisle railway so we enjoyed a bit of train spotting too. There was so much to soak up before we even thought about heading out. The nearby town of Kirkby Stephen had plenty of shops and we enjoyed a meal from The Mango Tree Indian. We would 100% recommend a stay here!
