Cabin holiday rentals in Little River Canyon

We visited The Valhalla to celebrate my mother in laws 60th birthday! This place is nothing short of amazing! The view was beautiful! The house was immaculate and very cozy! Desiree had everything we needed and more! Needless to say we enjoyed the time we spent and we will definitely be back!

This cabin, is a slice of heaven wrapped in wood and wrapped again in vibes. It’s peaceful, transcendent even. Impeccable design; styled so well I started questioning every room of my own house. Every room looks like it was curated by a team of chipmunks trained at Parsons. But here’s the twist, the windows. Huge, panes of glass so clear, even mother nature was confused. The local birds? Not so much fans. They kept dive bombing the house like they were trying to stage a feathery coup. We lost count. Seriously, it was like living in a Disney princess movie… if the birds were drunk and had no spatial awareness. Still, it was the most serene, beautiful, refreshing stay we’ve ever had. We will be back. Highly recommend!

This was the perfect place to relax!! The sunsets and scenery around the cabin are better in person than in the pictures posted. My husband and I were there to celebrate our 35th anniversary. We enjoyed slow mornings with breakfast on the front porch overlooking the valley. Sight seeing each day and then getting back early enough to enjoy the sunset in the hot tub. We enjoyed exploring the Desoto Falls area and Little River Canyon. We drove to Chattanooga and visited Rock City and Ruby Falls. Angie was so sweet to make us a reservation at The Elevation Bistro. Elevation is a quaint little restaurant with an outstanding chef. My favorite was the French onion soup and my husband loved his hamburger. We both thought the pecan praline bread pudding was next level. This was probably the most relaxing and enjoyable vacation I’ve had in a while. Spend the extra money on a good view….its well worth it!!

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin looked just like the photos. It was nice, clean, and very welcoming. The sunsets off the back porch were stunning. We will definitely stay here again.

Was there for a wedding at Whispering pines farm in Calhoun. The area was very nice. The cabin was very private and peaceful. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying around that area, and would definitely stay again.

If you’re lucky enough to stumble upon this place, don’t hesitate. Tucked away at the very top of the mountain, this little getaway feels like a secret slice of peace & beauty. The views? Absolutely breathtaking. You can see everything—rolling hills, distant valleys, endless sky. It’s the kind of view that makes you stop & just breathe it all in. The cabin itself was perfectly cozy, with the cutest bear-themed decor that gave it a warm, welcoming charm. Every little detail was thought through & it all added to the peaceful, secluded atmosphere we were craving. It was exactly what we needed: quiet, beautiful, & grounding. We left feeling rested & full of gratitude. Highly recommend for anyone needing a reset.

My wife and I chose this cabin due to the fact that we were looking for a private getaway for our 8 year Anniversary. We had never stayed here before, but this met all the marks. The private gated entrance was a definite plus for us. This cabin was nestled in the woods near a few others down a private drive, but far enough away from the other cabins to have the privacy needed to enjoy the hottub out back in the evening and have a cup of coffee in the mornings. Everything was super clean and we were provided with everything we needed for our weekend stay. This cabin is 10 minutes from the heart of downtown Fort Payne, which offers plenty of places to shop, things to see and restaurants to eat at. It is only about 20 minutes from Mentone and roughly the same from Desoto Falls/Desoto State Park and Little River Canyon. Dawn was easy to communicate with and the Check In/Out instructions were easy to follow. We will definitely be back to stay here again!

If you’re looking for a getaway spot for a couple with privacy and quiet, book this place! If you want a clean cabin, updated kitchen and a luxurious bathroom, book this place. If you want a host that has excellent customer service, book this place. We highly recommend! Will definitely be returning or looking to visit another one of his properties.

This has easily been my favorite Airbnb stay to date! The home was thoughtfully stocked with everything a guest could possibly need—and more. From extra fishing poles and tackle for a day on the water, to a fully equipped kitchen with a wide variety of cooking essentials, every detail felt carefully considered. The space was spotless, cozy, and incredibly welcoming. You can tell the hosts put a lot of heart into creating a comfortable and memorable experience. Whether you're relaxing indoors, cooking a meal, or heading out for some hiking, everything you could think of is right at your fingertips. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-appointed, relaxing getaway!

We have stayed in quite a few AirBnBs and this one is in our top 3 without a doubt! It was super clean. This place has all the little things you can think of (cooking oil, tin foil, baby high chair, etc.). The hosts left us snacks tailored for us and gave us a small gift as a keepsake of our stay in Mentone, AL. If you are wondering if it is worth the stay, I can 100% tell you it is. Eva should put on a Master Class of how to be an AirBnB host!!! Can't say enough good things about this stay!!!

Beautiful place! My boys loved the loft bed! Fishing was good! It was everything my son wanted in a place to stay for his birthday!!

Ashley was very responsive and gave great directions. We enjoyed it so much we added another day. Ashley was quick to accommodate us.

My husband and I loved the A Frame cabin for our little get away. It was very clean and well stocked with all of the essentials. It was right on the water and we loved the hottub and kayaks. There are other cabins closeby but we still felt we had privacy. The only thing I'd say to be aware of is that the A Frame is very small there's not much room to lounge around inside. Also if you are going to be there in off season or mid week and plan on eating out you may want to do some research beforehand to see what will be open. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and plan on being back!

This place was gorgeous and so peaceful. The perfect weekend getaway to unplug and unwind. Even my three children didn't complain about being bored with all the books and board games. The house was so clean and comfortable. We will be back.

The cabin is just as described and all amenities listed were there. The place was clean and well kept, and Marty even checked in on us when there was potential for inclement weather during out stay. I would recommend going and will likely be returning in the future.

Chad was super friendly and helpful. I went to this cabin for my bachelorette weekend and the girls and I had an absolute blast. We slept 7 extremely comfortably. The cabin is right on the Mentone strip but tucked away enough for a peaceful stay. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and a nearby park. Beautiful scenery and beautiful, cozy cabin!

The place is awesome. The area is gorgeous with Little River Canyon and DeSoto Falls close by. The place had everything we could need. So much was provided that we didn't even get a chance to use everything. My daughter loved the arcade table and pinball. There were a ton of board games available and even a horse shoe pit for for outdoor play. The beds were comfy. The hot tub felt wonderful. It was so quiet and peaceful. A much needed retreat.

We had a great time. The cabin was very clean and spacious with plenty of sleeping and seating areas and lots of windows. The back view was nice with the river flowing by. You can use the deck or stand inside looking out all of the windows to watch the river. You can also walk down the hillside to the chairs by the river and even build a fire in the pit. We got to watch a group of kids paddleboarding by. The available canoe was a plus for us.

Huge private home sitting in a tucked away piece of paradise that any age will enjoy!! If approved you could park10 +vehicles on gravel pad. This is an older home with alot of history, but it is a beautiful gem and works great for multi family gathering or an intimate wedding, anniversary, proposal. The beds are WONDERFUL. The only suggestion is replace the main house living room rug,due to the fibers and fuzz balls it releases in the air when walked on. The last suggestion is maybe a few upgraded pans and kitchen utensils in kitchen. I understand its a Rental and people take and break, but new kitchenware,mixing bowls ect. is a big deal to a family chief when needing in the moment. we definitely look forward to visiting this home& guest house again in the future. The Lyon’s Den was a lot of fun! Our family of 5 enjoyed having a bed for everyone. The lake was quiet for fishing and swimming. If you are looking to get away from town and enjoy time on the lake, check out this place!

The house was perfect for our stay. The location was nice and peaceful and the house was exactly as described! We loved the setup with the master downstairs and the main living upstairs! And we met the sweetest little kitty that lived in the area, He spent the weekend hanging out on the porch! They stay was perfect, house was great, would def stay here again if we are in the area!

My husband and I had a wonderful long weekend at River’s Edge. It was as described with an attentive and responsive host. The cabin was easy to find, private, with a beautiful view of the river. It is very close to Desoto State Park, Desoto Falls, and Mentone. We would definitely stay here again!
