Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This cabin was built in the 1950's for housing dairy workers. It sits on 11 acres. This area is an old dairy farm. Lots of family history here going all the way back to WWII. 1 bedroom with queen size bed, small laundry room, queen size fold out couch, pots and pan, dishes, microwave, stove and refrigerator with ice maker. We're situated directly on the Amite River and this cottage is perfect for anyone who loves to fish! We provide a place to dock your boat, and can even recommend the best routes along the river that we often take ourselves. Please note that we do not allow pets at the cottage so get your fur babies a sitter and come on down.

This building has been built with mostly reclaimed, reused and upcycled materials. The rustic interior walls are clad in huge boards milled on the property after Katrina damage. Note the unusual shower with handmade tiles. There are other unique structures on property.
