A fantastic place in a beautiful location. Price was exceptional. Lots of extras in the cottage. Check in was slightly awkward, but that was my fault for arriving very late, so it was dark but when I got my bearings, the lock box was obvious and we let ourselves in. Wish we could have stayed for longer.

I can only echo what everyone else has said in their reviews about this wonderful spot! Gill was welcoming and responsive, hosting out of a beautiful home that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, with Abergavenny, Usk, Raglan, Monmouth and the Brecon Beacons amongst other places of interest within reasonable driving distance. Upon arriving there was an exquisite, freshly-baked lemon drizzle cake set to one side (the recipe since offered and eagerly accepted!), with some eggs, butter and milk set to one side too which came in very handy. There are lovely spaces in the gardens in which to relax and dine, and if you're lucky enough you might meet furry friends Poppy, Corky & Bertie - at one stage I thought I would be playing fetch with Bertie all night! Waterloo too has become one of my favourite places to visit. Beautiful surroundings with a very welcoming host who loves to show off her place and quite rightly so. There are lots of visitors to her bird feeders, your own private garden, although you are welcome to sit in Melissa's garden next to her pond and a few feet away from her orchard, where a mattress has thoughtfully been placed for any stargazer's to use. One of the best breakfast hamper I've encountered with fresh eggs from her friends chickens, local butter, small loaf, and small jars of jam etc. Cereal was also provided along with usual tea and coffee and coffee for the cafetiere as well and not forgetting the pint of milk as well. Will definitely be returning 🤗
