La compañía CTSA-Portillo realiza el trayecto entre las terminales 1, 2 y 3 y la estación de autobuses de Marbella (Avda.Trapiche, s/n) cada 1 hora 45 minutos. En tren La línea C1 de Cercanías RENFE (www.renfe.es), que cubre el trayecto entre Málaga y Fuengirola, tiene parada frente a la terminal 2 (próximamente en la T3). Los trenes tardan 14 minutos desde el centro de Málaga al aeropuerto, y 45 minutos aproximadamente hasta su última parada, Fuengirola.
