Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lower East Side, Manhattan

So there are apparently not enough characters allowed in the review to fully express our pleasure staying at this wonderful place. We have stayed in multiple Airbnbs with our business the past five years and this particular one is in the top three. Upon approach, take in the charming brownstones and tree lined streets. Once you open the door, you are greeted with natural light filled space with a chefs kitchen. The decor is modern, yet not stark. The added elements, such as the exposed brick and wood, emanate a warmth and coziness. The outdoor back space is just right, but sitting on the front steps is the best because you meet all kinds of charming characters around the neighborhood. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with dream bathrooms, right down to the showerheads. beds were SO comfortable and perfect for melting into a deep sleep after a day in Manhattan. Favs:bathrooms, kitchen island, neighborhood shops and cafes, argh there’s not enough room left just book it already!!

Good spot for a long weekend! Nice location with plenty to do in the immediate vicinity and the F/G around the corner. Travis was responsive and flexible with arrival/departure times, which we appreciated.

I would definitely recommend staying here. I was celebrating my birthday & Morlisa surprised me with a bottle of Rose☺️(I’m 24). If you want somewhere to stay that’s comfortable & less chaotic than staying in a hotel within Manhattan, this is the place. Close to the JFK airport too.

This is a comfortable, well-equipped 2-bedroom apartment. It’s not far from the Grand Army Plaza subway stop, which makes it quite easy to get into Manhattan as well as around Brooklyn. Lovely street and neighborhood. The frontroom has one double-bed so it might not be the right layout for a group or family, say, but it worked for me. And there is a private bedroom with a double-bed as well. The small bathroom also might not work for a group of 3 or 4, but was fine for me. I appreciated the responsiveness of Asha’s manager. Everything was done with care.

Location, location, location... Can't beat it. Endless opportunities for food, drinks, parks and more. The unit was clean, well thought out and fairly large for Brooklyn standards. It was exactly what we were hoping for.

Michael’s place was an absolute delight. It is a beautiful old house with tasteful renovations. The bed was comfortable, the spaces were generous, and the house was remarkably quiet and peaceful. Michael is friendly and responsive, and promptly took care of a minor issue.

Excellent home in a fabulous neighborhood! Sara was incredibly responsive and friendly throughout our stay. There wasn't any air-conditioning to ease the heat of the really hot days, but the location and cleanliness of the unit was worth the steamy moments. Also - it is very easy to find parking on this street! What an unexpected surprise!

I absolutely loved my stay at Tia’s airbnb. The apartment was clean, tidy, well-stocked with essentials (and more), and located in the cutest UES neighborhood. The amenities in her apartment are not typical for other new york apartments, including a large kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, AC, etc. There are very accessible subway stops and bus stop nearby as well, with tons of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The location felt very safe during my entire stay. It quickly felt like home to me. Tia is also such a lovely host, even letting me check in hours in advance because my flight got in early. Can’t say enough good things about her and her apartment. Will definitely rebook the next time I’m in New York!

Henri’s place has an excellent location in Manhattan with walking distance to many places and short commute by bus or subway to most attractions. Super quick check-in and check-out process. It’s right next to Korea town so plenty of good Korean/Asian options restaurants and bars that open til midnight or 24/7. The room itself is big enough for four of us since we spent most of the days outside. Great experience overall!

Great location! I loved the Lower East Side. Great connections. If you are sensitive to noise maybe not ideal. Many Bars, Restaurant and nice shops close by. As well as Subway station. Basically everything you need in NYC around the corner. Robert was very responsive and flexible. I'd stay there again. Thank you Robert!

I’ve stayed in many Airbnb’s in New York City, and Taylor’s place is by FAR the nicest. You can’t always tell what you’re going to get, but Taylor’s really is exactly as described. It’s in a clean, very appealing building, and the apartment is totally quiet, clean and functional, tastefully and thoughtfully appointed, and completely efficient for a week of living in a cozy home in Greenwich Village. The compact space is decorated in a way that is wonderfully soothing and restorative— creates a sense of emotional expansion and relaxation. The location is amazing too, everything you could want is close and walkable. And Taylor is a really thoughtful and responsive host. What a special experience. I’m hoping to come back!

I enjoyed my stay at Michael's...mostly because of his dog, Churro (kidding! though Churro is great). Easy going, shared what was needed, helpful. It's a bit outside the main part of the Lower East Side, but that's also kinda good. Some noise from neighbors, but not late and nothing like bar noise; and I really didn't hear Michael's comings and goings, so quiet inside as well. Has what you need and a friendly host to help if needed. Thanks, Michael!

We picked this spot because of its convenient location near NYU and public transportation. It was perfect for that, and we also enjoyed the energy and nightlife in the area. There was so much to do and see within just a few blocks. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the city.

The apartment is better in person than the photos. Gorgeous panoramic views of the city. Very comfortable primary bedroom and an old-school pull out in the living room (where my son slept). The apartment was quiet and very clean. Steven was very good at communicating and got back to me right away with any concerns. The apartment is located in Midtown and the area felt safe. I highly recommend Steven’s apartment, especially if you are looking for a room with a view and an excellent host.

Hal is a responsive and very friendly host. He made our arrival easier and was very communicative. The accommodation is perfectly located for visiting New York.

Amazing spot in BedStuy! The apartment is on a lovely, quiet street that is very close to transportation. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay while visiting family. As I grew up in the area I know my way around, but easy to get around for anyone! The bay is a beautiful site when you walk up the block. There are many places to visit in walking distance as well as plenty of transportation choices withing walking distance. Plenty of places to eat as well, with many different choices of food. Nice private quite apartment, I will be staying again in the Fall.

Benjamin was a great host and very responsive. We have 3 dogs that travel with us and sometimes finding an Airbnb can be difficult. With a dedicated parking spot and grassy fenced in back yard this Airbnb was perfect for us. The space looked just like the photos, clean and everything we needed. The location was great, a quick walk to the light rail and we were able to get over to the city quickly. Will definitely be looking to book here again when we travel this way in the future.

Our family of 4 stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to the path in 5 min to connect to the NYC subways. On the walk, you pass multiple cafes and coffee shops. Great craft beer and wine shop on the corner. Pizza shop, Basile’s, right next to the PATH is perfect for a late night snack. The beds were comfortable, and even though there was some street noise heard at night, a sound machine was provided to help lull you to sleep. The only thing you have to be aware of is the unit is located on the 2nd floor, and you have to go up a narrow set of stairs which can be hard with multiple suitcases. Other than that, a comfortable and convenient place to stay with everything within walking distance!

Being welcomed by the entire family to getting end to end support during the stay, it was a great experience staying at this bnb .. amazing view , kitchen fully stacked , very prompt response , extremely helpful attitude… would recommend stay here if you want to be just around NYC but don’t want the hustle bustle of the city

Great apartment in a nice area of Hoboken. We used this as a base for our trip to New York so did not spend much time at the place but the location is great, you are close to the station (10-15 minute walk) which takes you to Manhattan Midtown or the Financial District at World Trade Centre. The area in Hoboken is also very nice, you are nearby the Hoboken waterfront which offers great views of Manhattan and an opportunity to slow down from fast pace of Manhattan. Further you are next to Washington Street, which has lots of restaurants and bars, we particularly enjoyed starting the day with Bagels on the Hudson. The apartment itself is spacious, clean and had everything we needed. AJ was always quick to respond for any questions we had. Overall, would recommend.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is just like the photos, and in a lovely neighborhood with grocery, coffee, restaurants, subway, etc. nearby. The bed is super comfortable...amazing water pressure...all located in a quiet building. I would definitely stay here again!
