Nearby Ulverston, has regular festivals and many independent shops and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.

Situated on a quiet country road and bounded on two sides by open fields, with grazing shire horses and Jersey cows, this is the idyllic country retreat. The cottage has been renovated to the highest standard whilst retaining all the charm of its period. The traditional village pub is a few metres away. Breathtaking natural scenery awaits you from the doorway.

We’re only 100 yards down the road from The Red Lion, serving homemade food and proper Cumbrian ales. You're just a 5-minute drive or a 45-minute walk from lake Coniston and a 20 minute drive to Coniston.

Our cosy studio flat is a perfect base for your adventure in the lake district. Located at the southern end of Windermere lake, it has great access to the rest of the Lake District for exploring and only 10 min to Cartmel racecourse. We are close to many great attractions. Ulverston the festival town is just 25 minutes' drive away. There is also a petrol station/shop 20min walk/2min drive. Grange over Sands is a lovely town to visit and have a wander along the promonade over looking the bay.

Wren forms part of an old Mill now called Sunny Bank Mill Cottages. Next to pretty Torver beck, with frontage to the quiet western shore of Coniston Water, it’s the perfect place for a ‘get-away-from-it-all’ break. Wren is beautifully refurbished but retains lots of character. Surrounded by fantastic scenery you don't need to go far to enjoy the beauty of the Lakes. Stroll down to the lake to sit and unwind, walk up onto the Common for amazing views, or explore the lake and island by canoe.

Camping Barn 2, Abbot Park Farm

Built in 2012, our slate and stone camping barns boast 6 single beds on the first floor. The ground floor space includes a dining area, kitchen area which includes a microwave, kettle, toaster, small fridge and a single electric hot plate. and a ground floor wet room. Bedding, towels, cutlery, crockery are all provided. Outside are stunning views, a picnic area and public footpaths through the farm. Breakfast is not provided can be requested at an additional cost.

Rusland Retreat is on the first floor of a barn conversion nestled in an elevated position in the hamlet of Oxen Park, in the beautiful Rusland Valley. TV, Anti Allergy Duvet on the Double Bed, Sheep Wool Duvets on the Single Beds, (so allergy proof) crisp linen and fluffy towels. We provide everything and more, so all you need to bring is your food and toiletries. We do not allow dogs in BIrch. With it sleeping a family we feel it it would compromise your comfort and space.
