This apartment was wonderful!! Terri literally thought of everything you could need! the place is exactly as pictured and was very cozy! very private and plenty of room! Terri was very responsive with any questions we had!

Host was great! Spot had a beautiful view and was convenient to town center. Loved getting to hear a distant fog horn as we were leaving in the morning. Would definitely stay again.

If you are looking for a beautiful base for excursions in eastern Maine, you have found an excellent place here. And for this, Joyce's refuge offers a quiet, grounding and all-fulfilling retreat in the middle of nature. With a direct sea view and the soothing breeze as well as the natural tranquility, the place offers everything that nature lovers desire. (Outstanding location: near Acadia National Park, Mosehorn Refuge, shopping for daily needs, good local restaurants) Joyce's accommodation is equipped with everything (and more) you need to feel comfortable. She also has an incredibly beautiful veranda with sea views and furnished the accommodation with attention to detail. Comfortable bed, high-quality kitchen (gas) and provided us with many special local trinkets and basic equipment for cooking. I am running out of words for the evaluation. We would definitely come back. I always have a Joyce ;)

Fantastic! This place is so unique and fun with its retro design. I loved the day room where you can enjoy reading looking out the windows to the trees and sky. Amazingly comfortable bed and soft sheets! The bathroom is so cute and has a jacuzzi! Kitchen had everything needed for a month stay. I particularly enjoyed the hammocks! The house has some beautiful flowers and trees around. Really nice touches. Calia is such a great communicator and very sweet. She was always super quick with any responses, went above and beyond to accommodate my work demanding WiFi speed. Which I can assure is very quick! Machias was a perfect little town with so much beauty and trails to explore around! It’s quiet which I really appreciated. There is a wonderful beach just 9 min drive away. A grocery store and the downtown area are super close. Don’t miss Helen’s restaurant and their pies! I would love to be back!

This is the place if you're traveling to the Eastport area. Outstanding accommodations (WOW indeed), great hosts, and friendly area. Close to many attractions within an hour drive. Look forward to a return!!

Relaxing, quiet spot to stay while visiting the attractions in and around Acadia National Park, easy commute to reach the Bar Harbor area. Excellent info on things to do and see, places to eat. Perfect set up, everything needed to cook fresh lobster is provided. Yes, the water is ‘hot’ BUT ample posted warnings about the hotness! To top it off, easy to find and the pricing is amazing compared to other rentals in the area!

I would rate my stay at Angela’s a 10. The property is well maintained and functional especially the two living areas and outside deck area. Angela’s was in great walking distance to the town and many restaurants and shops. Angela is the perfect host. Would definitely stay here again.

The experience left nothing to be desired as we were looking for a remote spot and a place comfortable and spacious enough to stay inside during bad weather and Jeff’s place checked the boxes. We were the only ones in the 2 unit home. The view is very pretty and the wildlife is plentiful. The access to the water is down a dirt embankment which leads to mud flats at low tide. Beware of the tides if you can get the kayaks down there.

Everything was as explained. Very clean, directions to get there were spot on. Very clean and was perfect for our home base while visiting New Brunswick. Lea was very responsive and accommodating.

This is the second time we have stayed here and we still love it; Rebecca is wonderful at communicating and she goes out of her way to help whenever she can; the place was spotless and beautiful; we expecially loved walking the Van Horne trail and you meet the nicest people on that trail! So peaceful and about an hour to St Andrews with a leisurely pace; thank you Rebecca for sharing your beautiful home once again

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The space was restored and decorated beautifully. The hosts thought of every comfort you might need. Some of the reviews mention the condition of the entry /public spaces which is accurate but once you get inside and see how lovely this place is, it just doesn’t matter. I travel a lot and use air bnb a lot and this was hands down the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed -including hotels. Highly recommend!!

What a unique property and enclave of cabins and houses. Sunsets like no other and beautiful topography. Rossport By the Sea is a unique location with amazing ocean and meadow views, and interesting and creative common outbuildings. Ocean Bay cottage was comfortable and uncluttered with lots of privacy. Herons galore on the shore. Ross is an interesting & hospitable host. We hope to return.

Beautiful place and great location. You can park your car and walk everywhere. Located right next to all the shops, restaurants, bars. We will bring ok again in the future.

Great communication at all times

We stayed at Barbara and Dwight's place for nearly a week, and it was fantastic. The guest house, with its private entrance, is situated right next to the bay, offering breathtaking views that greatly enhanced our experience. This Airbnb is one of the most well-equipped I've ever stayed in, with every tool and everyday item you could need to make your stay as comfortable as if you were at home. The location is excellent, providing easy and quick access to beaches, hiking areas, Saint John, and much more. Barbara and Dwight are incredibly kind and thoughtful hosts. Not only did they meticulously prepare the house for our stay, but they also took the time to draft a detailed guide of attractions and shops in the area. This was my first visit to New Brunswick, and I feel very fortunate to have stayed at this wonderful house. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
