The Priory

The Priory is an impressive former Gentlemen’s residence, which dates back to 1864 and has been lovingly restored as superior apartments. Set in a tranquil cliff top area of Shanklin, the apartment features stunning uninterrupted panoramic sea views. The impressive apartment boasts a master double bedroom, with ensuite bathroom, twin second bedroom and also a family bathroom. The open plan living area includes leather sofas with a home cinema and music system with LCD TV, HD DVD/CD player, Freesat, mobile/tablet jack and radio tuner, with speakers and controls in all bedrooms and bathrooms, and dining area. It also includes the granite finished kitchen, which features an integrated dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, oven, hob and microwave. From the living area, there are French doors that open out to the spacious decked area, where you can sit, relax and soak up the spectacular scenery. There is also over 2 acres of woodland gardens, complete with winding paths, beautiful plants, play and seating areas. Surrounding The Priory is National Trust and farmland, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and many coastal walks, all waiting to be explored. Due to the convenient location of The Courtyard, it is a short walk to pubs, restaurants and tea rooms . A 10/15 minute walk to Shanklin seafront with cafes, arcades, crazy golf and sandy beaches. Shanklin town and bus links are in close proximity to the flat.

A beautiful self contained Annexe attached to the Victorian Old Upper Chine School House. Based in Shanklin Old Village with its thatched roof pubs, restaurants, shops and beach a short walk. The new Mead View Annnexe has light and airy living space with lounge/kitchen/separate w/c shower, upstairs bedroom accessed by spiral staircase. French doors downstairs lead to a private patio. Charming 2 bedroom cottage with Ocean view

This was my favourite staycation yet! We’ve never been to the Isle of Wight before, and Martyn gave us so many recommendations before we arrived we could plan. We were able to book The Smoking Lobster in advance for our first night and even ended up returning on our third night! The house is beautifully decorated and the views are exactly like the pictures. It is about a 35 minute walk downhill to Ventor and we ended up getting the bus up as the hill is quite steep. This comes every half an hour and is definitely worth it!! The cottage doesn’t have a driveway, but this doesn’t matter as there is plenty of on street parking which we never struggled with. Thank you so much to Martyn and we will return!! 🌊🌊🥂🥂

A cosy stay with our dog. This room enabled us to enjoy an excellent week long stay and explore the island from our base. Judith was easily contactable and there was a small grass area (overlooking the sea) for doggie just at the bottom of the long driveway. Also there’s a footpath there too to get to the seafront. Judith provides some extra touches too thanks

Louisa was an exceptionally kind and responsive host, always ready to help and ensure we were comfortable, which truly made a difference in our experience. The interior decor and views from the place was stunning - beautifully designed and thoughtfully arranged, making us feel right at home. We’re so grateful for her hospitality and would absolutely stay here again!

We had a great time at this sweet little cottage. A trip away for my mum’s 60th. Exactly as described and so close to the beach. Would definitely stay here again. Beds were comfy with a good amount of wardrobe space in the main bedroom. Sweet, cosy living room, and lots of local cafes. One thing that would be lovely is some sort of visitor book for people to write in with their recommendations during their stay.
