Lovely one night stay at the bolt hole. Beautiful, peaceful village location and convenient for events at Halifax Piece Hall, which is the main reason we chose here. The property was spotlessly clean and the little touches of being left Milk, Juice home made bread, Jam and cake by the hosts, was very welcome. The welcome pack contains lots of information about the area such as things to do, restaurant recommendations and walks and would not hesitate in booking again in the future.

Just got back from having 3 lovely nights stay at Carr Cottage. The cottage is spacious, very clean, well equipped, comfortable & warm. Good size bathroom with an excellent shower and large towels which is always a bonus. We only used the first floor bedroom but the bed was so comfortable. The location is perfect for getting to Halifax, bus right outside your door, an hour walk to Sowerby Bridge along the canal and a bus at the bottom of the road to Hebden Bridge. Also, a friendly local pub a few minutes walk down hill too. Thank you Ric & Ingrid for being great hosts, will recommend 😊

We had a great couple of days stay. The loft was a good size, very clean and just as described. Due to the weather we didn't get a chance to sit in the garden area but it did look very peacefully and nice. It was a great base to go out waking an exploring. The instructions left by Hilly were easy follow and despite Hilly not being there during our stay was very responsive and accommodating. We got sent clear Instructions on where to go. The sat nav does sent you off a bit too far! We would highly recommend Hilly as a host and the loft to stay in. We would definitely stay again. It had everything we needed.
