You don't often come across a place like this on Airbnb. The more than 130-year-old log cabin in the cultural heritage landscape of Suvanto takes its residents on a time travel to a 19th century village in the far north of Finland. The property is best suited for a friend of Lapland's nature, history and silence, who is not afraid of the dark in winter or mosquitoes in summer. Please note: there is no public transportation to the village, no toilet in the main building, nor a shower. There is a separate sauna building outside and a traditional outhouse behind the sauna.

Composting wood toilet. The sauna is wood-heated. If necessary, we will guide you in heating the sauna. Available in summer and early autumn.

Tervetuloa nauttimaan rauhasta ja luonnon kauneudesta Octa Lodge Luostoon! Tämä kahdeksankulmainen, kodan muotoinen mökki sijaitsee rauhallisella paikalla upean metsän keskellä. Mökki tarjoaa kaikki mukavuudet viihtyisään oleskeluun. Mökissä on tilava olohuone, hyvin varusteltu keittiö, mukavat makuutilat 6 henkilölle, sauna, takka, pesuhuone ja erillinen wc. Mökille on 115 km Rovaniemen lentoasemalta ja Pyhälle 22 km. Ruokakauppa ja laskettelukeskus ovat 3 km päässä, hiihtoladulle noin 1 km.

Charming cottage with all the amenities on a large plot. The distance to the center of Rovaniemi is only about 25 km. The distance to Santa Claus Village or the airport is also about 25 km. No public transport. The roads are well maintained even in winter. The cottage is easy to get to. If you wish, transportation can be arranged by Mercedes Benz Vito car for an additional fee. Small and peaceful cabin in the nature. Luosto village center is about 3 km far away and Luosto Amethyst mine, which you can visit, is about 2 km away. Authentic Finnish log cabin, which ensures a warm and comfortable stay. Please note that this cabin is semi-detached, meaning that you may share the area with some other visitors. The cabins however can only be accessed from the outside and you don't have to share facilities.
