The space
Vacation like a royal—or one of Her Majesty’s secret service—at Villa Feliche. Set amid beautiful formal gardens overlooking the sea, this private, secluded Corfu vacation rental has been featured in several films and is neighbor to Mon Repos, the summer home of the king of Greece. Now completely renovated, the estate is the perfect choice for a relaxed holiday in the sun, an anniversary celebration with family and friends or even a quiet destination wedding.
Your stay at Villa Feliche includes the services of a housekeeper, gardener, and a cook for two meals each day. Spend your days wandering beneath the olive and cypress trees in the garden, breathing in the fragrance of jasmine and wisteria from a lounge chair on the sprawling terrace, reading by the pool or launching from the private boat dock. A pool house, gym and steam room rival those at any of the island’s luxury resorts.
Charming brick and tile exteriors open to reveal gracious, well-proportioned rooms. Though many architectural details remain, such as the stately stone fireplace, the furnishings have a relaxed, modern feel, thanks to natural-fiber rugs, glass-topped tables and striped upholstery. In a practical touch, the villa has both a fully equipped kitchen in the main house and a kitchenette.
There are six bedrooms in the main house at Villa Feliche, two in the guest house and one in the studio apartment that could double as a honeymoon suite. All have en-suite bathrooms, and several open to terraces or include lounge areas. The rooms offer the choice of everything from a king bed to a twin bed and easily meet the needs of groups of friends or families traveling together.
The estate itself is enchanting, but it’s also just a 5-minute walk from the beach and a 1-mile drive from the town of Kanoni, known for its beaches and picturesque harbor. Boaters can use the villa’s dock or nearby Gouvia Marina, or simply watch the action in Corfu port, and golfers won’t want to miss a round at the Corfu Golf Club, about a 20-minute drive from the villa. For restaurants, shopping and sightseeing in the UNESCO-listed old town, make the 15-minute drive to Corfu town, or Kerkira in Greek.
