The space
Ochre walls and green gardens make this typical Portuguese mansion a vibrant retreat. Its verdant grounds, tiled rooms, and 7 bedrooms, including 2 in 2 guest houses, are a welcoming place to host a family reunion in the Algarve. While there are plenty of beaches near the villa in the Portimão area, it’s also a short drive to the old town and beaches of Lagos.
With a rural setting amid farmland and gardens planted with fruit trees and flowering vines, the villa feels like your own private country estate. Savor the quiet and the sunshine from a lounger by the outdoor swimming pool and linger beneath a palm tree at the alfresco dining table. Your holiday includes daily breakfast, and a housekeeper will make sure you’re comfortable.
The living areas at this vacation rental are spread out between a main house and 2 guest houses, but all feature a mix of refined modern pieces and colorful prints. Look for details like mustard-yellow tile around the fireplace, sea-blue cushions on the dining chairs, and brilliant tile on the floor of the fully equipped kitchen. Each guest house also has its own kitchenette.
Drive less than 20 kilometers from the villa to 3 different beaches, including the Alvor boardwalk and the top-ranked Praia de Marinha Beach. Head for the nearby port city of Lagos to explore cobblestone streets running beneath 16th-century walls and pause at one of its lively restaurants.
