The space
After a morning yoga session on the beach, return home to cool off in the swimming pool at this minimalistic beach house in St. Bart’s. Join the group inside for an espresso at the breakfast bar. Then, take a moment to enjoy the endless ocean-view from the hillside terrace before heading out for the day. A trip to the island’s capital, Gustavia, is a must if you’re in the mood to shop.
Spend lazy afternoons working on your vacation tan in a sun lounger on Angel’s wood-deck terrace. Then, take refuge under a shady palm tree and curl up with a good book. Inside, the peaked, exposed-beam ceilings are reminiscent of the island’s colonial heritage, though the greyscale decor and collection of bright art add a modern, contemporary touch. The bedrooms take that idea a step further, keeping decor futuristic and minimal, creating the perfect contrast to St. Bart’s natural elements. The fully-equipped kitchen will surely inspire your inner. And, the breakfast bar is also a great place to gather while you whip up a few tropical cocktail creations.
Fishing in St. Barts is top-notch, as well as an exciting way to explore the coast. Boat charters are easy to come by, and if you don’t feel like leaving the island, hand-line fishing can garner surprisingly good results, as well as a new challenge for seasoned anglers. If you’re up for an even more physically challenging activity, book yourself a surfing lesson and see if you can catch some waves.
