Megan was a very welcoming host, and it was a safe and quiet pitstop on our roadtrip. The food from the restaurant was also delicious.

The Loft at the Farm House

PierretteRating, 5 stars8 months ago
What a beautiful gem we found. We should have stayed for a week. So much to do. Who had a mountainbike ride deep into the mountains, swam in the icy stream, and explored the cave at about 5km in. Th surroundings are spectacular. Phyll's knowledge about the archeology is astonishing and her passion for the history of the area is worth listening to. The loft was so much more than we expected and we had a wonderful rest in between the cycling and walking. Thanx Phyll for letting us share in a little of your heaven

Fairbairn Guest Farm Main House Room 1

JackieRating, 5 stars30 months ago
Linky's farmstay is in a very rural and beautiful location outside Maclear on the gravel road leading towards the Naudes Nek pass. It was a perfect location for us and had great facilities including a well equipped kitchen and lovely lapa. Linky will also provide dinner and breakfast if you give her notice. We had made a very late notice booking and Linky was super flexible and accommodating about it. One of the other guests, a regular there was telling me how lovely her dinners are. We had a stunning breakfast the following morning. A 5 ⭐️ experience all round.

Den Hagen Guest Farm - Farmhouse

FreddieRating, 5 stars38 months ago
De Hagen Guest farm was the perfect venue for our company workshop. Not only was the farmhouse ideal to lodge our team of seven ( with one room to spare), but the games room acted as our workshop space perfectly. This is an all season venue, with enough places to make fire, electric blankets heaters, nice stoeps and amazing garden and scenery for hikes. One could not ask for more amazing hosts in Judy and Rodger. The way they have taken care of our needs, and added so many extras to facilitate our workshop process, was overwhelming. The farm is very private, but still easy to get to or back from, to Rhodes. I suggest vehicles with useful ground clearance though. There is wifi, big screen for presentation, with cellphone comms at certain spots in the garden. Full marks plus bonus points to Judy, Rodger and De Hagen Guest Farm. We will all come back, and highly recommend it for families and small conference/ workshop breakaways.

Rhodes Cottages - Dooley's House

MaxineRating, 5 stars74 months ago
We enjoyed our short stay at Rhodes Cottage - Dooley House. The rustic cottage was clean, comfortable and had the most stunning views. Rhodes Village is a must see for all South Africans. It feels like you step back in time. We will definitely be back to see the snow next time. Thank you Jill!
