Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Mad River

Overall great stay! Responsive hosts. Close to the mountain but a trek if walking with ski gear, easier to drive 1 min to the main mountain parking lot. Building hallways smelled like cigarette smoke but did not spread into the condo. Place was comfortable but pricey, made easier to swallow with a group of 4.

We had a great stay. The room was clean and in a great location. The only hiccup we had was the GPS taking us to a different location based on the address given, but a quick call to the building staff directed us right to the correct place.

We loved staying in this cozy little room for the weekend. The spa was such a nice addition we went every day!

Barbara was a wonderful host. The space was perfect for the four of us over the holiday break. Our kids especially enjoyed the game room and took advantage of the puzzles. Cozy home with great views and privacy.

Jacob's place was ideal for our family of 4 (2 older kids) who were in town for a wedding. there were beautiful views of the mountain and valley, a sizable porch, and many amenities including well-kept gym, pool, hot tub and sauna just across the street. Jacob was very helpful throughout the entire booking and staying process, he even was very flexible when our plans changed by a day. Everything in the condo was in order and we think the unit is even nicer than the photos show. It was also nice and quite and private. thanks so much!

Clean, spacious and convenient. Spotless clean, plenty of space for our family of four and only a couple of minutes from the lifts. Would certainly stay again in the future.

Loree was really great and responsive! She seems to really care! If we had one negative about the place it’s that you can hear the neighbors pretty well. Particularly when they leave their unit early in the AM. Otherwise, four of us spent a week there quite comfortably.

Carl's place was wonderful. It was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Communication was also great and Carl went completely out of his way to be sure we could use the fireplace. And he even dropped off extra newspapers etc to help us start the fire! Thank you for a great stay. Oh and there's a beautiful view of Stowe through an open field - sadly we didn't get to see this until the very last day but it was spectacular!

Jessica‘s home is cozy and well equipped. It's in a quiet and tranquil area with beautiful views of the mountain resort but yet very close to everything. It's a short 15 minute drive to Spruce Peak and a 7 minute drive to Stowe’s center for shopping and restaurants. She was very responsive with any questions we had and left us a locally baked treat and ice cream to enjoy during our stay which was a thoughtful surprise. She's a great host and her condo made us feel at home, the kids didn't want to leave.

Annick and Francis's place is comfortable and beautiful (with unbeatable views), and they were fantastic hosts. They left a welcome gift for us and replied to our one or two questions promptly. The place is fantastic, and our daughter loved the pool. easy to jog from the property to the community path ... plus it's an easy walking distance to the Alchemist Brewery. Highly recommend!

Our stay in Sara and Mikes home in Waitsfield was incredible! Upon arrival into the mad river valley, the surrounding views were instantly beautiful and calming. The moment we stepped in the house we honestly felt right at home. The layout of the house is so calming and tasteful. Everything is perfectly organized, down to the labeling for all of the dishes and cookware so you’ll never have trouble finding what you need! Waking up and heading by downstairs for a workout in the home gym, followed by a dip in the hot tub on the secluded back deck was an insanely relaxing way to start the day. The custom built bed frames/furniture and the overall craftsmanship of the space added a comforting artistic value to the stay. Don’t get me started on the screen porch! This house is full of amenities and I’ve honestly never felt more at home at an air b&b stay. Nice quiet respectful neighborhood in an amazing community, would recommend this spot to anyone and we hope to return in the future!

A beautiful spot near the village of Stowe and a short drive to the ski areas. We were especially grateful for a waking path along a winding river that ran from the apartment to town and also north quite a ways. Apartment was clean, new and extremely tastefully decorated and the location couldn’t be better! Owners were very polite and responsive to our questions. A wonderful New Years mini- vacation for our family of five! Would highly recommend!!!

This place was very nice - new, modern, and had everything you could possibly need to cook, bake, entertain, and keep occupied. My family (me, husband, and 3 kids under age 9) stayed here for a couple of nights. The location was great - lots to do in the area, and not too far from Burlington and Montpelier. The kids really loved the bunk bed and the games provided, and enjoyed having a large space to play in while we were there. The modern features were really nice for our taste, having an EV charger was very convenient, and the view out the back was great. The hosts and manager were all very friendly, helpful, and proactive in making sure we had all the information we needed and in answering any questions we had, and helped make us feel at home in the place. At the time we stayed there the street was still being built up and the road wasn’t paved, which is the only thing resembling a complaint we could come up with.

We stayed here to give our dog Lili a vacation in the Green Mountains and a rest cure for us. The property is beautifully maintained with lovely gardens. Very rural but a great homey restaurant within walking distance with a little grocery right across the street. We hiked Texas Falls about 6 minutes from the house and both Lili and us had great time. No crowds, just streams and trails and a pleasure. The house is roomy and just like staying in someone’s home. This was a spontaneous vacation and the only downside is that we didn’t book for a longer stay because we really needed the peace and quiet and friendly people we met in the neighborhood. Lili wants to come back too!

Haven in the Hollows was the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend with friends for my husband’s 40th birthday. The house was incredible and we were sad the weather wasn’t nice enough for us to make use of the private pond & firepit! We did get some use out of the hot tub which was pristine! House was very clean and looked just like the pictures in the listing! The host was very responsive to questions making things super easy. We will definitely be keeping this place in mind for future trips to VT!

Very quiet and cozy. Comfortable beds. Lots of room for everyone.

The house made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. The dog bed, dog toy and food dishes for our four legged family member really shows how welcoming the home is for pet lovers. We had a wonderful stay and will be back again.
