Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Mai Châu District

We loved our stay in the bungalow here. the view was incredible looking over terraced rice fields and mountains. It is very close to Hui Waterfall down a steep path. it was refreshing to go down for a swim in the waterfall pools. the family living on site hosting us were incredibly warm and welcoming. the food was delicious and it was so nice being amongst them playing with the children and watching the grandmother weave on her loom. Yén was very proactive in ensuring we were well looked after and happy on the lead up and throughout our stay. she gave great local tips and timings of local markets to visit. I was unfortunately quite unwell during our stay so had to stay at the bungalow one of the days but yen and the family checked in and even offered several times to bring me medicine. it was very appreciated. we slept very peacefully here to the sounds of the ricefields and frogs. Thank you for having us!!

Great and beautiful location! Beautiful interior and exterior design! Very responsive, friendly and helpful host. The people in Hoa Binh are among the friendliest people we’ve come across! We did miss some basic kitchen amenities like (wooden) spatulas, spices, good functioning scissors and bigger drying rack for dish washing(a big dish washer would be even better😉) and kitchen towels(which were provided when we requested them). Overall had a great time here with my friends and definitely will come back!

the minus is that there are spots in the bungalow that are not finished, the brick walls and the beds have spots that creak and come off. In addition, the wifi bungalow connected nma k k has internet. plus the price is good location nice private and the staff is enthusiastic

This may be the most isolated homestay in the area, which makes it really special. It clings to a steep hillside above the rice terraces and is not accessible by car (prepare to walk up a steep path). The rooms are very comfortable but the real stars of the show are the two brothers who manage the place. They are super friendly and eager to share knowledge about the Thai community. They can organise guided hikes and will take you by motorcycle to the local market on Thursday or Sunday morning. They can also provide delicious food on request. I loved everything about this homestay except walking up the steep path with heavy bags in the dark when I arrived. All part of the adventure!

It took me 20 minutes going up and down hill in the blazing sun to look for the place. The direction given on this website is not correct. What worst is looks like the person who owned this airbnb account did not bother to communicate with the owner of the homestay. He had no idea who the heck i am and how long do i expect to stay nor which room did i book. Which upset me greatly. I still give this airbnb a highscore because once sorted with the owner in Pu Luong, the stay has been fine. He and his family were lovely and supportive. If it is based on my experience with the owner of this air bnb account I'd had given it 1 star.
