Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Malacca Strait

highly recommend for those who comes from city and would like to feel staying in Kampung house (like me & do not have any families staying in kampung). Still maintaining the heritage of the original house yet modernised toilets for current context (I think city ppl will always hv toilets concern when gng holidays) I felt so peaceful & wish I could stay longer. There's a small stream that is kids friendly depth, also there's pool for the kids to enjoy. My family loved this place too. sadly no durian yet when I came (June'25). the receptionist says best time to come in Jul/Aug. Falling in love with Perak & Will definitely return again hopefully & try other houses (Rumah Kuning or Kuda).

We absolutely loved our stay here! The house is incredibly spacious—with so many rooms and plenty of living areas, it’s perfect for big families or groups of couples. The pool was a daily highlight, and the front-yard playground was a fantastic bonus. The neighborhood itself is wonderfully serene — you really only hear birds chirping. There’s a security guard at the gate for peace of mind, and food delivery via Grab was a breeze whenever we wanted a quick bite. Inside, the home was spotless and tidy, and we appreciated all the natural greenery surrounding the property. One small thing to note: the garden isn’t fully fenced off. It’s shared with the neighboring duplex, so you might see (and hear) the neighbor’s kids popping in to retrieve their footballs or toys. It didn’t bother us — honestly, it felt like part of the local charm — but worth mentioning if you’re looking for total privacy. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a roomy, peaceful retreat with all the conveniences.

We really enjoyed our time at Haikaa.. really love the design. The space is quaint and beautiful. Right across the sea and overlooking Lover’s Bridge a stone’s throw away. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset and sunrise views from our little strolls on the bridge. The living area is spacious which was good for my group of 10 and the house is equipped with all the necessary amenities including smart TV. The host is very responsive and easily reachable. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to discover this beautiful hidden gem that really showcases the beauty of this small town.

We had a great stay! The host was very responsive and provided detailed information to help us having a smooth stay. The location was also great and we got to explore so many places, all on foot! The house itself was extremely charming, and we definitely loved all the appliances and pots/pans that helped us feel like we were living locally. One thing to note is the house is nearby the corner of a lively place, where people may gather for casual drinks so on Friday night and weekends, the gatherings can overflow to the house alley and it may be street noise until midnight and beyond. But to us it added to the neighborhood character so we didn’t mind and truly enjoyed our stay.

We greatly appreciated Mek Ganu’s wonderful hospitality and many thoughtful and personable gestures to make our stay at Teratak Sekuchi a truly special and memorable one. We love the house with its unique character and charm and will not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a unique local stay experience.

After traveling to many countries and staying at many different Airbnbs, this was easily the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at and the best host I’ve ever had. The place is perfect for short term and long term stays. We arrived to the Airbnb at night and were greeted by Ng who went out of his way to provide us with dinner so that we can have a restful first night after flying in. The place is very spacious and had everything we wanted and needed during our stay. The space has a luxurious feel to it, with a great view of the Petronas towers. The living room and kitchen area were very nice, and the bedroom and bathroom were extremely comfortable. Location is great and so were the amenities. Fast working elevators in the building was also nice to have. Air conditioning worked well and bathroom shower had great pressure. We felt at home here and if we are ever in Kuala Lumpur again we will be sure to stay here again. Thank you, Ng!

Great homestay apartment, with three rooms and three bathrooms, the apartment is bright, tidy and clean, it is commendable that the host responds in a timely manner, the cancellation policy is also very friendly, no🈚️ worries, If there is any disadvantage, I think it is a little inconvenient to shop and eat nearby.

Had a good stay but would be good if we had the remote for the fan to control the speed but other than that, good place to stay!

Our stay was great. Hannah's communication is the best and we knew exactly what to do. The recommendations were also nice and it was very helpfull to have Mr. Chuan as a taxi driver from the airport. I also would like to say that the room have everything that we needed, even bottled water ! The rooftop with the pool was a real plus. We went there everyday and it never was busy. Lalaport mall is just near, with a lot of restaurants :) A walking distance to Jalan Alor too. I recommend this stay !

Fabulous apartment with everything you need. Amazing pool at your doorstep. Laundry facilities were great. Easy to get a grab and get anywhere you want in Penang. Excellent instructions from host and very responsive. Highly recommend and will book again!

Very good value for money, has spectacular views and is away from all the noise of the city. Although there is not much life next to the apartment, you have a convenience store and a Starbucks self-service cafe in the lobby. Tomando grab arrivas in 10 minutes in the center

We loved our stay. The apartment is spacious and well kept. Easy to find and easy to self check in. The location is a little bit out of the centre, which we always look for. But it’s easy to get a grab or a train into the centre. The trains are air conned so we loved being on them. There are plenty of great restaurants near by and street food places within walking distance. The view at night from the apartment and the pool is the highlight. Recommend a night time swim with the lit up skyline. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return the KL. Thank you.

Diana 's place is a gem. The view of the house is amazing. The house is as per everything is shown in the picture. Clean and beautiful! Is a near walk to Gurney Paragon and Gurney Plaza. Is surrounded by foods and easily assessible by foot, car or by grab.

Location is the best thing about this accommodation. Walking distance to many popular food places. The view floor the high floor was amazing!

The place is lovely. Great for a vacation. Beach is nice, night market is... well, night market-y, the pool is LOVELY, and the gym is great. Mostly quiet - watch out for holiday nights though, the traffic is a nightmare! The space is great, nice kitchen. Gary is very helpful! Grab works to get all your food delivered. So I would LOVE to live there forever... just a bit expensive once you know Penang prices for long term stay. So it is perfect for a vacation!
